Barceló Corralejo Sands

Went to this hotel last year so decided to try it again and it was still as good as last time . Arrived to friendly reception staff very helpful. The room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard, lovely touch that they had left a bottle of cava and chocolates as it was our special wedding anniversary this year. The pool was not too cold and great to see that you can't get a lounger till 9am so no rushing down at stupid time to reserve one, saying that plenty of loungers no matter what time. The food was delicious and plentiful, freshly cooked options but plenty to choose from (not great for your waistline ) . Different themed nights from Chinese to Moroccan . Special shout it to Mauri the waiter in the evening (and morning), a credit to the hotel always friendly and smiling.

Second time staying at this hotel and the service it still great, clean welcoming, helpful and polite. Rooms are clean, bed are comfortable, plenty of towels and pillows. Daily room service if you want if not put the sign on your door. Great choice of food, something for everyone and all kept at a good temperature, plenty of different wines etc available. Breakfast full English, fruit, cereals everything you could ask for. Tea coffee, juices, milk, hot chocolate plenty of drinks available. Great location just off the main street to the bars, restaurants and shops and the beach is just acouple of minutes walk away. Would definitely stay again.

Spent a lovely 5 nights here 24-1st march 2025 ,decided at last minute to go back to corralejo as we were there at xmas time not in the sands,but we were feeling like we needed some more sun I had luckily seen from the top tips that there were stairs to the upper level suites so i emailed and requested a ground floor as i have limited mobility and i had a reply within the hour and my request was granted The room was lovely and overlooking the pool ( patio doors to pool out back) and front was the kids pool area The bed was huge and very comfortable We had the suite which had a seperate tv/sitting area but tbh we just lay on the huge bed and watched tv there ( at night ) We went half board and food was good ,husband is a bit fussy and doesn’t eat chicken which there was always a lot of,but he always found something to eat We did go to our fav restaurant one night as we wanted a steak so ate out the night’s were themed … spanish was good,lovely paella , breakfasts were plentiful and i think h/b was just right for us as i don’t think we could have eaten lunch after the big breakfasts The pool opened at 9 and no rush to put towels out,though we saw others doing it on the first day and reserving the beds so we panicked a bit( i know ! it’s hard not to follow like a sheep) as i wanted a bed as close to pool steps as poss having limited mobility so we put our towels out and went for breakfast,as it does take me longer to walk we were back prob about 40 mins later( cut off is 30 mins before taking towels off ) and there was a note on the lounger telling us not to reserve beds ,we apologised to lifeguard but i said it was due to me walking slowly and we won’t do it again … but he came then and put a reserved sign on my lounger for me and said to use it for rest of my holiday which i thought was very thoughtful and i was very grateful. The loungers were comfy too as the leg bit adjusted just under the knees. The weather was great as always Staff all worked hard and were super friendly and efficient,rooms cleaned every day if you wanted we did have a cockroach on first night come out the air con vent on roof, but that’s the norm in canaries, we never mentioned it to reception , just popped it outside , no harm done ! Would defo stay again as it’s so handy for main strip We are thinking of trying the lanzarote barcelo next

Just returned from a fabulous 7 night stay, got to say the reviews on here do it justice, the staff, the rooms and restaurants were all excellent, we went half board because we don’t cane the drinks on holiday so paid for drinks as we went, the drinks are very competitively priced too. Great location too Room We were in room 2210 first floor, large rooms with separate room with large screen tv if you want that sort of thing, we only used for radio, another tv in the bedroom, nice touches were the kettle, mugs (not little cups) coffee and tea replenished daily, two bottles of water in the fridge again replenished daily. Beds were very comfortable with a choice of 3 pillows, didn’t need the A/C on as temperature dropped after 17.30, the room stayed at 21deg every night. The bathroom was bright with modern fixtures, inc walk in shower, magnified mirror and decent hairdryer, nice touch was on the glass shower partition, there is a link to a 4 min shower song chosen at random to play on an app on your phone, towels were changed on request and are large and fluffy ( not exfoliating). Balcony was a decent size with table and chairs. Restaurant Breakfast was as you expect for a 4* plenty of choice of everything, “English” sausages and beans, plenty of fresh fruit and yogurts etc, egg station is worth a visit, staff were attentive and chatty which is always nice. Evening meals were themed most nights and the meat was varied, freshly cooked and plentiful. Same price for drinks as the bars too. Pool We didn’t use the main pool as it was quite busy from opening at 9am, with people knowing where the best positions are for all day sun. Personally I don’t like piped music either, so we opted for a couple of very comfortable sun beds behind the pirate ship/slide at the back of the kiddies pool, mostly people like ourselves wanting a bit of peace and quiet as there were not many children staying here. Location About 50 metres off the Main Street through the resort, not too close to any pubs or clubs, very quiet at night. All in all a very well kept and clean hotel, with fabulous staff only to willing to help no matter what the problems were, would definitely stay here again but would go B&B next time and use the local restaurants just to do something different. Well done to the management and hard working staff for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Just returned from a lovely week at this fabulous hotel. I would recommend this resort as the hotel is just around the corner from the main shopping centre which we liked as we were holidaying with our teenage daughter. Having access to shops when needed was convenient for us and us women like shopping! Food - we thought the food was nice and on Xmas day it was outstanding. The bar area in the hotel is very reasonably priced think a cocktail around €7 euros and they were excellent! Entertainment - we thought the shows were very good. Didn't feel the need to go outside the hotel tbh on an evening with a very good show every evening and very good and reasonably priced drinks the bar area is nice and relaxing. Pool area - this is lovely and the hotel is very clean. Beautiful palm trees surround the pool and it is wonderful. Staff - amazing as everyone is so friendly and helpful. This really is why the hotel stands out from others as we found everyone to be so helpful and welcoming they are spot on with their customer service. The only downside if I had to say one was that there were not many younger guests and as we were travelling with our teenage daughter (only child) and she normally likes making new friends her age. Maybe because water park closed and island a lot quieter than Tenerife but I wouldn't let this put you off. Trips - we went to the zoo (highly recommend it was fab and a bus picks you up from the hotel). Think it takes an hour each way and you get to see the island. Excellent animal shows and the animals all look very well cared for. Dune buggy - my daughter and I did this and we both really enjoyed it. The buggy office is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and this trip was great fun. Hired a car - went to the old capital called Betancuria was beautiful, La Olivia (nice with a lovely nativity) and port de Rosario (capital). Clothes are a lot cheaper than the UK as the large clothes shopping centre has a huge Zara! Would I recommend this hotel - yes .

Had a lovely week at this hotel. A big up to all the staff from Reception to cleaners to dining room staff and gardeners. Rooms are nice and spacious and was very clean. A small fridge came in useful and they gave us 2 complimentary bottles of water on arrival. Beds are very comfortable with the fluffiest pillows. Lovely shower and soft towels, hairdryer also in bathroom. Our room overlooked the pool and had a table and 2 chairs. A few reviews have mentioned the food. I thought breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food, but had the slowest toaster ever....bread was lovely but minimal selection of jams and would have benefited by having little dishes to put jam in. Nice fruit juices, even had tomato juice. Evening meal always had something to please, the salad bar was particularly tasty. Usually a selection of pasta with a decent bolognese sauce and they were keen on the paella (both fish and meaty). Scrummy ice cream and waffle cones went down a treat. Sunbeds were comfortable and usually plenty available, although you did get the 9 am rush to get best beds, however they were pretty good at removing any towels on beds not occupied for some time. The grounds were kept beautifully. Some amazing trees and well maintained lawns and flower beds. If you are going over the Christmas period you will not be disappointed with the decorations and I imagine you will be very well looked after. Daytime entertainment staff worked hard and encouraged you to join in but were not pushy. We usually caught the end of the evening entertainment, which was pretty good, usually singers of a high standard. It was often quite amusing to see those guests who were obviously on all inclusive and had spent the evening getting their money's worth in the bar (not judging!) All in all, a very enjoyable week and would happily return to this lovely hotel, which is perfectly situated for all that Corralejo offers.
