Hostatgeria de Poblet

We stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it so we decided to return for a few days to explore the region. Unfortunately the lack of maintenance let's the hotel down. Peeling paint in the dining room and on bathroom ceiling and showers which need bleaching and re grouting along with cheap ill fitting shower heads. The menu included with the half board was disappointing with reheated dishes. The beds are comfortable but no chairs and I had no bedside table. Plug points very sparse. The staff are friendly and welcoming but the hotel is in need of TLC.

Very desolate place. Not much to do and see. Restaurants are very poor but for hiking perfect. Hotel was switching from concept, lot to learn but good. Environment is not nice, cold as you can expect from a monastery. Villages are sad, but for nature it’s good.

I have visited Poblet several times over many years and it truly is a magical place, however this time i decided to stay for a couple of nights at the recently renovated Hostatgeria de Poblet, which is within the Monastery grounds. I say recently renovated, as this used to be a Hospital or Hospice that was originally built for people who wanted to spend some time reflecting. It was taken over a year ago and is under new management of Francesc, who created me on arrival and later gave me a guided tour of the establishment. It has been tastefully renovated to provide a peaceful place to stay for visitors and travellers alike, whilst also providing modern amenities. It provides the perfect base for seeing the region and visiting the other religious Monasteries of Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges. The entire region is steeped in History and travelling between the sites exposes one to numerous Vinyards, that make for a beautiful setting. The onsite Restaurant at the Hostatgeria is also under new management with a Chef from San Sebastian, whose food is truly amazing. They have a daily seasonal menu, as well as an a la carte menu and offer local wines from the Conca de Barberà area. I highly recommend a visit to the region and also to the Hotel.

Fantastic location. Very peaceful and beautiful. Rooms are basic but good quality. Receptionists very friendly and helpful. Interesting dinner and a nice breakfast. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the monastery and attend compline.

Très bon accueil dans cet hotel à l'intérieur d'un magnifique monastère. Les chambres sont austères mais correctement équipées, les lits sont moyens. La restauration est simple mais bien, le petit déjeuner est plutôt moyen. La nuit le silence est total, mais dès que l'animation arrive , l'hotel s'avère très sonore et mal insonorisé. Le parking privé est suffisant. notre petit chien a été trés bien reçu dans tout l'établissement. Le monastère peut se visiter.

Apesar de pouco divulgado , em geral as pessoas passam pelo mosteiro e seguem viagem . Mas com certeza indico uma pernoite pelo menos . Hotel tranquilo , silencioso , uma acolhida incrível na recepção , nos deixa muito a vontade . Uma oportunidade para visitar o monastério , e as 18:30 os monges nas vésperas com o canto gregoriano e as 20:30 novamente . Optamos por chegar à tarde pois horário está após 15 :00 h o período que abre o monastério e depois as atividades com os monges na igreja . Há o jantar que pode solicitar reserva no check in e indico pois na região não há opções . O jantar com ótimas opções , comemos o Bacalao com receita do monastério , uma delícia . Café da manhã de acordo com o local . Quanto a oportunidade de visitar um importante monastério e pernoitar ao lado , uma oportunidade ímpar e indico com certeza Há estacionamento no local próprio e gratuito . Pode passar pela porta que adentra para o monastério e basta seguir as indicações do parking e o de número 3 é melhor para chegar com a bagagem depois .

Un lujo de lugar. Las habitaciones minimalistas pero cómodas y confortables , todo limpísimo y se agradece el silencio ambiental. El comedor no es de estrellas aunque se come muy bien. Se puede ir a oir los maitines o las alavanzas. Lo dicho toso un lujo.

Encontré el silencio y la paz qué necesitava. Coguimos media pensión, pero no vale la pena. Hay alrededor sitios magníficos para hacer picnic 🧺 para comer y la Espluga està muy cerca. La ventaja de quedarnos en la Hostatgeria és poder ir a les Matines a las 5 de la mañana. En las comidas el vino no está incluido, aunque no lo avisan.

Hotel muy tranquilo y acogedor. Sobretodo muy positivo que puedas llevar al perro y puede entrar en todas las instalaciones . Este fué uno de los motivos por el que fuimos. Personal muy amable Cena muy buena y desayuno muy completo. Estancia muy agradable.
