Garryvoe Hotel

Our choir held its workshop in Garryvoe hotel in October, 2024. 50 choir members attended this workshop. Most of those attending, stayed in Garryvoe Hotel. Feedback from all choir members was mostly very positive. As all choir members live a short distance from Cork city, the commute to and from the hotel was short. Garryvoe’s picturesque setting met with the delight of all choir members. The close proximity to the beachfront meant choir members were able to enjoy a leisurely walk along the beachfront during any free period. More adventurous members were able to enjoy a sea-swim. Rooms were spacious, clean and some members enjoyed a sea-view at no additional cost. The Breakfast menu was good and included ‘fresh fish of the day’. This was cooked simply, but well, and tasted as fresh fish should! Evening meal was a set-menu, which was hosted in the function room and enjoyed by all. Pre-ordered lunch offered a variety of sandwiches/wraps and soup of the day. However, one choir member, with a dietary requirement, found staff unwilling to facilitate, in any meaningful way, her dietary requirement. Being a large choir, the library, which is adjacent to the main bar, was very suitably located for our ‘après evening meal’ choir sing-song. All in all, a very positive experience and a hotel where Cór Geal choir would definitely consider visiting again.

I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night Stay in the Garryvoe Hotel. Myself and 3 friends went off for a 2 night stay and didn’t want to travel too far and picked this Hotel. Unusually for me, I didn’t put in any research, but was blown away but all the facilities and the Hotel in general. Our rooms for starters were just lovely. Huge rooms with beautifully fresh quality linen on the beds. Spacious bathroom and lovely balcony with view of the Sea. Impressive Coffee maker in the room which was replenished daily, plus fresh water. We took full advantage of the beautiful pool and lap pool and also visited the Steam, Sauna and hot tub. All these facilities were first class. Must mention, we all asked for robes and they were delivered pronto to our rooms. We enjoyed lunch when we arrived and Dinner that evening. The Menu was excellent and so was the quality of the food. Breakfast was so good, starting with a buffet for fresh fruit salad, cereals and pastries. Lovely hot menu including Excellent Creamy Porridge, Eggs Benedict and fresh fish, all freshly made to order which was quite evident. I have to comment on the Staff in the Restaurant who were so welcoming and really just lovely, they reminded me of what Irish Hospitality used to be famed for. Garryvoe is a beautiful Hotel inside and extremely relaxing. It has the benefits of the beach on its doorstep and Ballycotton and Ballymaloe about 10 mins away as other attractions. I could not recommend this Hotel highly enough and will definitely be back.

Booked with Tracy who was efficient & very helpful to deal with! All rooms were perfect and the gift for my sister made her feel extra special! Dinner and drinks were nice and staff very friendly especially Shauna and young male manager! We will definitely be back.!

We attended a wedding in this hotel and we were very impressed with the service we experienced for the whole stay, friendly and efficient staff, very good food, lovely location. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend to others.

Set in front the beach this is an ideal location to unwind. The room we had was excellent, plenty of space and allowing easy access to the leisure centre, which had an outdoor spa. Great location to go for a walk on the sprawling beach. Breakfast was great and there is quaint pub on site.

Garryvoe is a very nice hotel located just a few mins walk from the sea coast. We stayed for 2 nights and we loved our comfy kind size bed and our room had everything what we needed for a comfortable stay.They have a great gym v nice swimming pool,sauna,steam room and hot tub outside which we really enjoyed. Young girl working at the gym is very nice shame I didn’t got her name she was super nice I think she’s a swimming instructor there.Overall staff were nice and approachable. The only reason why it’s not 5* review is because their food is not great it’s overpriced for the quality they deliver.Breakfast is extremely poor we stayed for 2 nights first morning we had it but next morning we didn’t even bother as it was so basic v bland, dry and tasteless.Dinner was just ok I would not dine there again it’s better to take a drive out to Ballymaloe and have lunch/dinner there which was outstanding! Overall I would definitely come back and we definitely will however we would not eat in the property. Location is just amazing so relaxing hotel is also perfectly suited for families with kids.
