Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Corfu

We have just returned home after a wonderful trip at this beautiful hotel Domes Miramare, Corfu. This is our second time here and we loved it so much we extended our holiday. From the moment you step into this hotel you will feel you are in paradise. The entrance hall with the amazing 400 year old olive tree and marble flooring will instantly wow you. We were greeted by Christopher Sino Guest Relations Manager with a welcome drink and a wonderful greeting back to the hotel. He showed us to our beautiful seafront pavilion retreat room. The room has ample space with a marble bathroom and a lovely outside area. We booked a whirlpool which had patio and we were definitely stunned by the lawn gardens which led direct onto the sea. We must say huge congratulations to the ground staff who look after the gardens the flowers are beautiful. The restaurant 1962 is simply amazing, compliments to the chef Kostas who walks around and will advise or help you with his menu. His food is outstanding truly À la cart and of a very high standard. This year I think he had more control over his menus and he’s definitely got it right. I noticed a review said the food portions was not enough but to us it truly was more than we have had at other hotels with an À la carte menu. I’m sure if you wanted more the chef would accommodate. The staff here are so attentive, very friendly and so very knowledgeable about the food and wine. A big thank you to Maria who greeted you with a warm smile each day. The ambience and scenery sitting right on the sea front is truly breathtaking. We also ate in Raw restaurant which is Asian cuisine and once again outstanding. We had the most wonderful experience here at this hotel and the staff will do anything to ensure you are enjoying your stay. We thank Christopher Sino Guest Relations Manager for his exceptional hospitality and friendly manner. All of the management staff are available throughout the hotel including the GM Ioanna who is truly lovely in her approach to guests. They all go over and above to ensure you get that luxury experience. This hotel also has a pavilion wing which is honestly stunning with a very large pool and wonderful soft big sun beds. If you book a sea view room here the view across the Ionian Sea is absolutely stunning. The luxury you will get here and the quietness will definitely allow you to unwind and totally switch off. We have stayed in many luxury hotels before and this one is possibly one of the best for being right on the sea front, quiet, relaxing and allowing you to totally unwind. They have kept the authenticity of the Greek experience with a beautiful piano most mornings whilst you are enjoying an amazing breakfast at the 1962. This is buffet style with fresh fruit, meats, salads, pastries and hot food. Compliments to the chefs at the egg station for their excellent omelettes. Entertainment in the evenings are varied from light Greek music to a wonderful band. We travelled to this hotel from the UK

This was our 5th time staying at Domes Miramare since 2020 - before this, we would never return to a location twice! We had another amazing stay at Domes Miramare in October. The hotel has such a wonderful ambience, from the moment you walk through the lobby with the beautiful view, and the smell that you won't forget. The entire team were very friendly throughout our stay, but we need to say a special thank you to Maria K. She was especially kind and went above and beyond to make our 5th stay extra special (a true credit to the Domes Miramare team). We loved walking through the lobby in the morning after breakfast hearing the beautiful piano music (thank you Eleni!) Breakfast and dinner were wonderful and the waiting staff were warm and accommodating. The room was stunning with a beautiful view of the ocean just a few yards away perfect for a swim as the sun rises. Corfu is a beautiful island, that is easy to explore with a small car! Thanks to the team for making our 5th stay so special - we hope to come back in the future!

Wonderful service as soon as we checked in until we checked out. The facilities , the spa , the restaurants and the food were all first class The location is absolutely beautiful as well The staff were so friendly and were always incredibly helpful and polite

It's good, but struggles to live up to the "luxury" claim. Everything is nice, but nothing is truly special (except the string quartet who did a performance in the reception atrium). If you are on the beachfront side, you can walk from the pool and into the sea... Nice. Advance requests that were confirmed, went un delivered. Vital systems failed after a power cut (hardly a rare event). There is not enough pool space or poolside sun loungers for the number of guests. There is lots of space available to dig another pool. Every drink you get at a bar is accompanied by a request for a tip. Remove these PLEASE! I've stayed in similar grade hotels for a fraction of the price. If you stay here, eat at the Village Taverna just up the road/hill. Most excellent!

From were to start ? All begin when my friend decides to makes me a surprise and booked our holidays in Corfu domes miramare . Firstly, i want to talk about our stay in the hotel, the place and the atmosphere were amazing. The hotel in general overview is near to Corfu center and many other interesting sights. Secondly, the food in hotels restaurant unfortunately leave us with disappointment , while the quality of the food and the tastes were not sufficient for our opinion. Furthermore, me and my friend we want thank hotels reception team, all persons were kind and helpful and ready at any time. Always with a smile on their faces. Lastly, I'm going to mention our main and distressed disappointment which after a lot of thoughts lead us to this low rate review. The problem for us started when we had to faced the big delays in our transfers in the island. The company's driver was always delayed up to 40 minutes in a pre-booked transports from hotels reception team, so me and my friend had to wait in this hot atmosphere under the sun in Corfu town . When our mini van finally arrived, the car was really dirty and the driver was at the limit of rudeness, during the transportation he was talking at the phone and runs very fast and he don't reduce speed even when we asked it from him . The last nervous and sad situation happened, in our last day in island when we had to wait the mini van for our departure, the driver unfortunately delayed extremely with the danger to lose our flight , we faced a very nervous situation while we caught our flight in the last minutes while the airport speaker call our names, the condition was really stressed. We feel very sad with this transfer service experience . When we asked kindly the driver, why all these delays occurred in a prebooked transports, he answered that his company limousine services was not responsible for these conditions.

We had an amazing week at the Domes Miramare. We had previously had a fantastic stay at the Domes of Elounda, Crete, so were keen to try another Domes resort and we weren't disappointed. We booked this holiday through Sovereign who we often use and are very good. As with the Domes of Elounda, the staff were amazing, very warm and friendly and they couldn't do enough for you. Special mentions to Ioanna, the Hotel Manager, Francoise, front desk manager, Haris, assistant front desk manger, Julia who sorted out all our restaurant bookings, Xenopfon who welcomed us and showed us to our room on arrival, Glikeria who looked after us at Haute Living, Evgenia the Haute Living Supervisor, Yiannis from the Verde beach bar (who went out of his way to find a certain brand of whiskey which my husband requested, Maria who welcomed us at the 1962 restaurant in the evenings and to Katerina who welcomed us in the mornings. Also thanks for Enkel the Yoga/Pilates teacher whose classes I really enjoyed. I do not have the names of anyone else but thanks to everyone for making it so fantastic, the chefs, gardeners, cleaners and everyone else who contributes to making his such a great place. I had the opportunity of doing a Sound Bath while I was there which I also really enjoyed. We had a Pavillon Retreat Suite Sea View which was fantastic, it had its own jacuzzi & pool and a lovely view. It was beautiful inside and lovely and spacious. We went half board and the breakfasts were lovely, lots and lots of choice. We ate in the 1962 restaurant in the evenings which exceeded my expectations. There was a broad menu offering lots of choice plus some specials everyday so we ate something different every night and the food was really delicious. The restaurant has a lovely view over the sea and it was most enjoyable to eat there. One night we ate outside in Raw which was lovely too, on a raised level with a beautiful view. This meal was included in our package so it was a set menu, which was very nice, however the food which people were ordering from the a la carte menu looked really delicious so we would try that next time. One evening we went to Archontiko which is in the hills about 15 minutes away. It has a fantastic view, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. It was lovely to sit outside and watch the sun go down. We'd definitely like to go there again. The view over the sea from the hotel was fantastic and whilst I don't particularly like shingle/pebbly beaches, which this was, it was very nice and there were plenty of sunbeds around the pools and on the beach. As I like swimming, I was particularly impressed by the pools, especially the two in the Panoramic area which are very large and had a fantastic view however the pool by the Verde Bar is also very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return very soon.

We stayed end of May 2024. Arrived 24/5 and we were blown away by the level of hospitality shown us throughout the entire duration of the stay! Plan on returning in the future despite some minor inconveniences [they have a great conceptualized pillow menu but we couldn't find pillows that worked for us and we didn't want to be a nuisance after swapping out once and in general across the entire island the plumbing infrastructure is ancient so you cannot flush toilet paper as is standard in the US]. Overall the resort and level of hospitality/service are Fantastic!!

Our second stay at Domes Miramare, Corfu and hopefully it won't be our last. The whole reservation process, private transfers (approx. 40 mins journey from the airport) and arrival updates were expertly managed by Elissavet, the Asst. Reservations Manager. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome smile, some chilled tea and an info session on the resort, its amenities and dining options before having a very tasty lunch beside the main pool until our suite was ready (we had a very early flight!). We can whole-heartedly recommend the suites in the `Haute-Living/Dining` part of the resort as they are luxury personified ... only a few steps to the waters edge and many come with a private pool and/or jacuzzi. To be able to wake up, draw your bedroom curtains and gaze out to the beautiful azure sea and clear blue sky was a wonderful start to the day. The hotel is situated in to two parts, divided by the main road in to the nearby (10 mins walk) town of Moraitika. The newest part of the hotel is on the hillside and is accessible from the waterfront part of the resort by a lift and tunnel. The `new` hotel includes a stunning pool, pool-side bar and spa, along with the `Haute Dining` room where food and drinks are included and available all day, if you opt to stay in one of the waterfront / beachfront suites in the original part of the hotel. The suites are a good size, well situated, well lit, spacious and extremely comfortable and are maintained to the highest standard. A unique wall-length basin is in the main feature in the bathroom, which include a large shower and bath and the other expected facilities. The bed is very large and comfortable with quality linen and comes with a pillow menu. I'm unable to comment on the other rooms in the hotel (new and original parts) as we've not stayed in these, but they looked nice, but we just peeked through any open veranda doors as we strolled along the beach. Breakfast in the main dining area is very special. Almost every item, hot, cold and bespoke is available via a well spaced out buffet. We tried something different most days, but the varieties of fresh fruit, breads and omelettes were the highlight. You can opt for `dine around` which enables lunch to be swapped for dinner and vice--versa. The meals and beverages, wine etc. we had at every time were of an extremely high quality and served by the waiting team promptly and always with a smile. The only issue we had (together with many other guests) were the hard (sometimes worn away seat pads) chairs at the dining tables, but cushions were made available. The chairs really need some attention / replacing ... feedback which we know was also mentioned by others. Most evenings there is some kind of live music around by the main bar in the huge entrance area (built around, we were told, an ancient, still growing olive tree!). We had such an amazing experience at this beautiful resort that within days of arriving home I had booked to return the next year, something that I have not ever previously done. Our room was beautiful but the location was not to my liking, on consulting with Ioanna the manager we were offered a different room which was perfect. The management went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday was exceptional in every way. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly and greeted us every day like old friends. Francoise especially was so kind and helpful. The food in the restaurants was absolutely delicious, we looked forward to dinner every evening. Facilities were great, I love swimming and the new pool was perfect for swimming laps and it was extremely quiet in the mornings. I had a CBD spa treatment with Nicolette which was sublime and left me floating on a cloud. A truly luxurious holiday in every sense. Tip: I highly recommend booking the transfers from the airport through the hotel.
