The safety and comfort of our guests is extremely important to us, and we take such matters very seriously.We would like to clarify some important details regarding your experience. At no point did any of our team members instruct you to leave your luggage at the hotel entrance. Our security camera footage shows that upon arrival, you placed all your bags directly by the entrance door and left them there — partially unattended — for around 15 minutes while going to the back of the hotel to check in. Unfortunately, leaving bags unattended for an extended period of time in any public space, whether in Copenhagen or any other large city, can present a security risk.This is the first theft incident of this kind to ever occur in our hotel. Once informed, our management team immediately reviewed the surveillance footage with you and guided you on how to file a police report. In Denmark, the police will only attend in person if there is an acute danger, which is why filing the report directly is necessary. We also extended our sincere apologies to you during your stay. We regret that the outcome of the theft overshadowed your visit and understand how upsetting it must have been. We hope that this incident will serve as a reminder to all travelers — as you have also pointed out — to always keep personal belongings within sight, even in places that feel safe.Copenhagen is a wonderful city to visit, but like all global cities, it is not immune to crime. We will continue to remind guests of best safety practices and remain committed to providing a welcoming and secure environment for everyone.
