Very ordinary is probably a compliment. Ordered Banh Mi which was supposed to come on a traditional Vietnamese bread roll - apparently a milk bun is the same thing. Dry pork, little bit of carrot, no dressing BUT, the fries were fantastic. Also had the roast pumpkin salad with freekah….freakin ordinary and sour cream must have been on special at Coles….way too much. As for the drinks, don’t ask for a bottled water, can of drink or mineral water….no have….so got a post mix in a plastic cup that smelt like a sweaty armpit…one of the worst pubs in Newcastle with no value for money and for a staff member to call the bloke in the kitchen a chef….joke

I ordered the 200g Rump steak lunch special as I have had it once before and loved it. Unfortunately this was a very different experience. I ordered medium rare and got blue or very rare steak. Sent it back but it was returned to me the same, or maybe slightly warmer but still basically raw. Very disappointed. The mash and veg were very nice but sadly I left hungry as the steak was inedible (to my taste). It was also disappointing that there was no follow up from wait staff or the kitchen to see if I was satisfied (given that the meal was returned).

Furniture faulty looks like it came from the flood zone ,could not get the TV to work no remote,Window blinds fully,bathroom fan very noisy and not able to turn off the bin rusted and no working lift and being over 80 with problems hard work.on the bright side the young lady from the bar who has a gran in Port Macquarie don't know her name was wonderful thanks paid $139 worth much less was clean other wise we would have left.

The room condition was dated, the cupboard was hanging off and the television didn’t have a remote and wasn’t working, the bathroom was clean and tidy, the position of the hotel was great

Nice pub, centrally located with great staff. Room was spacious with clean modern bathroom providing a good hot shower. Room furnishings were damaged and TV remote was missing (so unable to operate) staff apologised and indicated it would
Be attended to. Otherwise a good stay. Will return again.

The Corona bottle top on the bathroom floor was equal with a previous guests bar of soap on the bath edge. Yuk. A pity that there was no wardrobe just a freestanding rack.. Also a pity that the TV didn't work because the remote control batteries were flat. Also a pity that the stair and corridor carpets had seen a vacuum cleaner in weeks! Even the handrail was dusty. Never again...and at the price, I am a fool to have gone!
