Radisson Blu Hotel, Conakry

Well what to say, we had a day off and decided to spend it at the Radisson Blu hotel which recently opened its doors, it has been earlier a Marriot property & has never been really super in many aspects, however it is now. A bit of let down was that we could not buy a day ticket for the pool, but we then spend the day at the poolside with drinks and food, which was nice too, certainly a dip at pool would have been even better. Pool side lunch was tasty with a nice prawn cocktail and a really quality Pizza, clearly can see the manager is Italian here, likely the best pizza we ever had, the drinks had been tasty too. The staff was very friendly and took much care of us, it was not very busy till the Iftar buffet was starting and a large crowd of people came to break the fast, so we decided to join them till we heard the price. Honestly speaking we felt 60 USD is quite expensive so we was taken around the buffet before itself, while looking at the first few meters over the buffet it was clear that we get spoiled here today. We are 4 friends from Austria, England, Argentina & Canada, we really have not seen any buffet the last 10 years as such anywhere in Africa. Holly molly what a selection, the set up and the location as well, just wow. The price tag included also some juices & tea, you get a lot of value for your money, we sat 2.5 hours at the dinner & we are still full till today :-). Chef David the Executive chef is from Germany a nice fellow, he explained us some of the dishes & we had great chat together, he told us that the place will soon be a top notch steakhouse concept, he promised us with meat cuts form all over the world, one more reason to be back soon. Respect to the General Manager for turning this property into a really luxury place now.

We are a Lebanese family and went to the Radisson hotel for the Iftar buffet which they hoast every day. A buffet unseen so far in Africa, we really must admitt this. Massive selection of salads, hot food and deserts, lovely setting with life band & beautifull outdoor set ups. They even had authentic oriental mezzeh/starters on the buffet, lovely snacks and tasty mint tea. Yes you pay the price but you certainly get something what nobody else offers else in the city. Fresh pizzas baked to order even, paradise for us. Service was friendly, sure it takes time to get what you want but that’s ok. We loved the chocolate shoes & bags on the buffet, however when asked to buy it them was declined, we spoke the to German chef & he promised us soon it can be purchased even made to order. The hotel is new with many updates and has certainly a lifestyle feeling. We will be back for sure & hope the standard will be the same high

I stayed for a week whilst on a business trip. The Hotel Rooms are clean and the wifi worked very well. The staff were all following Covid 19 mitigation procedures. I have seen that the hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel very welcome. The food was excellent. I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Conakry Guinea.

The staff at the Sheraton Grand Hotel at Kipe were all amazing. From the driver ( Mamadou Jalloh) who waited almost two hours for me because the police had an issue with my valid Visa. All the receptionist at the front desk were super friendly and professional. They spoke good English, so it was easy for me to communicate with them. They even have a spot to change your US Dollars to the local currency at the front desk. Also the Manager, Charles is a very genuine guy who really cares about your experience at the hotel. I will for sure be visiting this Hotel again in the near future when I’m in Conakry.

My friends and I went to the hotel to spend the day & use the hotel spa. It was my second visit. The meal was served after waiting more than an hour and multiple complaint to the staff who doesn't seem to care at all. The spa has very few functioning lockers so we had to cram our stuff together in the few working lockers. The steam was not fuctional and we couldn't find anyone to help out. No soap in the shower (there was empty soap containers here and there). The gym has all the equipmemt you'll need. Its a really good gym. Perhaps two star for that. BUT please DO NOT drink the water from the gym dispenser. I drunk twice before i discovered that it was full of dirt. Literally. So bring your own water or check before you drink. I was very disappointed by the service and I don't not recommend to anyone.

As I was trying to call the spa for booking treatment for my girl, but unfortunately the lady of spa receptionist (local)couldn’t help me out at all, She just tells me only the prices as I asked her to explain the treatment how is works, but she can’t explain me at all and her English worst to understand and tone of voice very rude to force me for understand only the prices, it's not professional to ask her to give me someone else to help but still she didn't help me for that,because she doesn’t know how to explain the treatment how I can get a wonderful treatment for my girl birthday unfortunately I need to call so many time to the operator to transfer me to GM to raise my concerns unfortunately operator Said GM was on leave will be back on Monday, still I keep on trying to reach GM so lucky I got GM to raise my concerns hopefully GM can solve the solution on this , this is not good service as of Marriott company it is disappointed compared with another Sheraton.
