Vista Lago di Como

This place is like heaven. Food is extraordinary and the service is outstanding, but the concierge Alberto is the best. He tailor made 2 days of our both lake and train excursions. We felt like at home. We will surely return to this place in the near future

This hotel and its staff are magnificent. Part of the SLH group our expectations were high and not to be disappointed. We arrived by car from Florence and were greeted by Alberto the hotel concierge/butler who was most welcoming. The room we were given (200) was a Premium King room with a most spacious and beautifully appointed room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a pillow menu to choose a selection to suit. The bathroom was large with a great shower and luxurious bath. We were given many welcome treats and my wife had a birthday for which the hotel gave a beautiful cake and special wishes. The hotel is well positioned to explore the Como area right near the ferry terminal, and easy walk to all of the Como shops and restaurants. We took a tour offered by the hotel to visit Bellano and some of the less common tourist sights, Alberto accompanied us and was our guide and we had a very luxurious chauffeur. We visited the Carozzi cheese factory which was a highlight. We stayed four nights and every moment we were made to feel like important guests. We dined at the Sottovoce restaurant which was definitely worthy of its Michelin star, and the best meal we have had in over 3 weeks of traveling. Would recommend this hotel as 5+ stars Luxe, remembering that it is a small hotel and does not have facilities that might be expected in a large 5* hotel. A Truly Exceptional Stay at Vista Lago di Como We just finished a beautiful stay at Vista Lago di Como and were genuinely impressed on every level. From the moment we arrived, the outstanding service stood out—every staff member took the time to learn our names and greet us with a warm smile. The rooms were magnificent—spacious, spotless, and perfectly maintained, with a nightly turndown service that was flawless. Being a newly built hotel, everything felt pristine and thoughtfully designed, down to the signature scent in the common spaces. Its location right in Como was ideal, and with only 19 rooms, the hotel offered a boutique experience unlike anything we’ve had before—personalized, quiet, and refreshingly intimate. The real highlight? The on-site restaurant. We’ve traveled the world and dined at many fine restaurants, but this may have been the best meal we’ve ever had. It’s rare that every detail is this dialed in. This was a 10 out of 10 experience in every possible way.

The hotel location was excellent, the suite we had was large and lovely overlooking the water. The absolute best part of the hotel experience was Concierge Alberto and his amazing team who started attending to our every need and even stupid questions even before our trip started. Marta and Illaria were awesome and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing- from helping with cars, restaurants, advice and more. The all day guided tour with Alberto “the one” experience was the hilight of our trip. Would highly recommend! To be fully balanced- although service was really great throughout we didn’t love dinner at the restaurant. Not bad just not memorable or as good as more traditional meals we had. Breakfast spread was fantastic and again staff very kind and attentive throughout.

One of the best 5-star experiences we have had, anywhere. Perfect location right in the middle of Lake Como, beautiful views, amazingly comfortable room. Lovely breakfast spread every morning, nothing quite beats a cup of coffee looking out onto the lake with the mountains in background. With all that said, the best part of the experience was Alberto and the rest of the concierge team at the hotel. My wife and I have been to great hotels all throughout the world, and the team at Vista Lago Di Como definitely outshined them all. From the beginning to the end of our stay, we were very well taken care of, and given great ideas for day trips and other activities, where the team took care of every detail, allowing us to enjoy our time and take it all in. Highly, highly recommended.

We had a very nice stay overall. The entire staff was wonderful and worked incredibly hard from pre-arrival right up until the last moments to make our stay an enjoyable one. The weather was less than ideal and we had one party member who was recovering from food poisoning; the team was able to help us rearrange our plans to make the most of our stay on the lake despite these challenges, which was great service. A special shout out to Ilaria for her help! On the opportunities side of the ledger, the linens and bath amenities could use an upgrade. Every member of our party found the sheets scratchy and the bath tissue of lower than expected quality at this price point. Also, while the staff really made the stay and the boutique hotel itself was nice generally, the location was only so-so, along a busy road and port with subpar sound-proofing. Our consensus view is that this was a solid four star experience at a solid four star hotel.
