Hotel Casablanca Tortuguero

We liked how close it was to everything. It was clean and quiet. The sleeping pillows were square and small, like for furniture.

Great to stay in the centre of Tortuguero with local people around. A stone’s throw from the beach and from places to eat. Canoe tour, night tour and transport to Puerto Viejo arranged via the hotel - and these were all fantastic and great value. Maw (who arranged these) met us from the boat and was very helpful

Very nice rooms right on the river. All of that section is pretty new, so everything was new and fresh. Everything walking distance loved it.

Henry was great and greeted us as the boat pulled up to the waterfront property. Unit was clean and brand new. Easy walk to town. Maybe 200 meters.

Our contact…Henry…was the gem of our stay!! Truly there for us for any information, luggage cartage, need a little sugar or some limes…he is amazing!!!!

Lovely view of the lagoon. Modern and well presented. Relatively close to the centre of the village.

Was looking forward to our booking here for a few nights, hotel was great with communication prior to arrival - letting us know someone would meet us at the dock on either side of the boat ride. Boat ride went smoothly and staff was there. But we found out on the venture out that the hotel was having water issues and our room would not be available. They kindly ensured we had a spot at another location in town. We went with it - the replacement location was fine, clean, basic - but not with a few of the amenities we had been hoping for (pool / deck etc) We had been in touch with hotel over the stay - again great communication and requested a refund for the difference between what we paid and the rates on the replacement spot - was told that wasn't an issue. Upon arriving home and following up on the request we were offered 50 USD. I explained my disappointment as the difference between the 2 rooms was closer to $300 +. From that point the hotel has gone radio silence, I am working with the company we booked through - but hotel is also not responding to them. Disappointing interaction overall, we had a great trip - but we should not be paying the premium rate when the facilities were unavailable.

The property was spacious and very clean. It had a private garden. We liked the coffee maker. The pool was very small, just a plunge pool

Nice garden room with good shower facility. Central position in the village / east walking to all facilities/restaurants. Very good value.
