Mersea Island Holiday Park

Lovely, quiet park. Very helpful, nice and kind staff in all areas. Food was excellent in the Muddy Duck. The park and all facilities, including the pool, are clean. Excellent for families: onsite facilities for play and also the beach and country park on the doorstep for walks and adventures!

An excellent, good value for your money, quiet getaway break in April. Heating is fine, shower is hot, beds comfortable, though a little narrow. Kitchen and lounge are spacious and work well. Site is kept spotless. We also had excellent sunny weather which made things even more splendid.

We had a great time at Mersea Island the weather was perfect and the staff were great if problems were raised! However problems occured more often than not with either no toilet roll in the toilets, no hand towels or even soap.... Dirty sinks dirty toilets and dirty showers (more rugular cleaning nessasary? ) and using a facility that has been pulled from sandy Balls that's already falling apart with cubicles falling off the wall and a gents toilet not situed securely on the floor that it wobbles as you sit on it. In the Ladies there was 1 shower that you could not lock because the door had fallen (same as the gents believe it or not) and 1 toilet the same. cold showers on 1 occasion but was reported on the app, however I reported issues many of times on the app which I should not have to do being on holiday if they had a regular maintenance, however this was probably due to the people using them! Out of date posters in the toilets from last month realy says a bit.. The staff in them self are great can I reiterate, however away resorts really need to answer to this. Just a lovely park. Quiet. Great for 50 plus year people who want to relax. Small friendly clubhouse but in a lovely small town/village that has nice pubs and place to go. My caravan was really clean. I mean spotless. Parking was great for an accessible caravan. My girlfriend is disabled and elsewhere we've had to put the chair on the grass. Here the driveway and ramp up to the caravan was great. Even the shower drain in the wet room worked like new. At some hotels I've had to ask for a mop! And elsewhere with wet rooms you often get a wet floor. Here they must check everything before a new holiday. Just a really nice place for older people or couples with young children who want a nice get away. Small shop that is also the check in office is easy to park outside and has enough in there to fill your caravan with nice food and magazines etc I am here as working local. Have booked to come again

Great place to stay very relaxing and plenty to do in the local area plenty of restaurants & pubs caravan was spotless and everything we needed lovely deck area to relax on , the beer in the muddy duck was very good and staff friendly and helpful

Stayed here mon-Fri in a luxury caravan the caravan was very clean and spacious the only issue was there weren’t any oven trays and no grill tray so unable to use the grill I did ring reception who sent someone round with oven trays but advised they had no grill pans/trays at all which if you’re planning on cooking in the caravan which we were as there are no restaurants on site it was a problem. The site is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay as it was planned as a chilled beach holiday but if you are looking for something lively with lots to do this isn’t the place for you.
