pros: - romantic, well-decorated cottages in a quiet, far-from-madding-Goa sort of location - beautiful view of the sea cons: (just too many!) - the location! - once you're in the resort, you're stuck till check out. too cumbersome to go anywhere. you drive through a deserted-looking super-bumpy beachside guided by tiny easy-to-miss arrow signs only to find you've just reached the parking. the actual resort is a full 10-15 min level 1 trek through rocky steps, sand, and mud from parking - NOT accessible by buggy. The staff meets you at the parking and painfully carries your luggage on their backs the entire distance, 2024 AD, anyone? so if you're planning to bring small children or elderly parents *****, well, DON'T. - not enough thought has been put into servicing such rustic cottages on such a difficult terrain. the staff has to come from very far off and coming from such a distance through the muddy climb, they would themselves end up bringing a lot of mud and insects into the room! - while it is normal to have some wild experiences so close to nature, the creepy crawlies are too big an issue you have to constantly worry about. we had a rat in our room that sneaked in through a construction defect in the bathroom wall!!! the staff spent a lot of time figuring on a jugaad solution (after trying to blame us for leaving food crumbs in the dustbin before they found out that the toilet door wall had a 3" gap for the mice to come frolicking into the room) - the restaurant is a good 10 min walk from the cottages and make that 20 if you call for the buggy because that would take longer for the buggy to arrive to your room! - food is perfectly average but at such a distance from civilization, you dont have much choice but to settle for it. nice view of the sea from the restaurant though. So while the resort is a unique concept from the usual Goa shacks or 5-star giants, it needs some more work before it becomes recommendable.
