Esencia Hotel and Villas

A side trip to Santa Teresa was a last-minute decision and after quickly scanning the options I chose the Esencia Hotel and Villas. I am happy I did. This property is located closer to the end of the strip. The rooms are clean comfortable. The grounds are expertly landscaped and beautiful. A wonderfully refreshing pool area is available. I stayed two nights, but as the original plan was only one night, I stayed in a room at the top of the hill, while the second night I stayed in a villa. Both were charming. Unfortunately it seems this platform will allow you to upload pictures but not videos. The only drawback to staying in a room at the top of the hill is that I was not able to drive as close to the room as I might like. So if you have a fair amount of luggage, be aware that you will have to carry it 50 yards or so. With the villa I was able to park right in front. The front desk staff was very helpful. There was easy access to the beach. And numerous dining options, a short walk away. The villa that I stayed in had a separator between the king size bed, and the twin beds, thus offering privacy. This is a great place to stay in Santa Teresa. I just had a great time in one of the pool view rooms. You are up on a hill so the noise of the street can't be heard from the room and perfice for a post surf nap. The staff is friendly and very accommodating! Security and cleaning is top-notch. It was great to wake up and walk across the street to world-class surfing!

Wir waren 6 Nächte im Esencia und soweit zufrieden. Die ganze Anlage ist sauber und auch die Zimmer sind grossräumig und sauber, alle haben Balkon/Terrasse mit Tisch/Stühlen und eine gemütliche Hängematte, Klimaanlage und Ventilator Funktürmen gut. Alle Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und bemüht, die Anlage ist nachts bewacht, man fühlt sich sicher wenn man bedenkt dass direkt gegenüber eine grosse Disko ist (man hört aber nichts von Musik oder ähnlichem sondern nur das Meeresrauschen beim einschlafen oder verschiedene Tiere). Der Poolbereich ist hübsch gemacht, hier wären neue Liegen angebracht, wo die Lehnen sich verstellen lassen statt nur ganz oben oder ganz unten, weil man eigentlich doch viel Zeit am Pool verbringt, da es am Strand sehr wenig Schatten und öffentliche Liegen hat. Für uns als Langaufenthalter hätte ich mir mehr Abwechslung beim Frühstück gewünscht, es gab jeden Tag dasselbe. Hier könnte man zB .die Gäste einen Zettel mit verschiedenen Optionen die man hat ausfüllen lassen?! Das Hôtel ist umgeben von vielen guten Restaurants und der Weg zum Strand nicht mal 5 Minuten, Surfschule zum Bretter mieten direkt gegenüber.
