Hampton Inn Clinton

Beautiful accommodations, immaculately clean, nice big shower and the bed is SO very comfortable! Well worth it! Might add a bathroom fan in the next remodel. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

We were warmly greeted at check-in. Our room was clean and comfortable. Warm cookies were offered at 6 pm. Ate dinner at Lucille's across the parking lot (liked the fried porkchop) with dessert at Braum's. Slept well. Soft towels. Bagel toppers for breakfast. Friendly staff.

We were in town for State 8U Baseball- Jojo was the front desk person. She was extremely helpful and very kind. We had friends staying at other hotels who had issues. We’ll book here when we need to be in town again. It was also close to a fantastic restaurant, Lucille’s Roadhouse

Room did not appear to have been cleaned at all. No toilet paper, no soap, the bed had crumbs in it so I am sure it was just pulled up instead of changed. Went to the desk and they said they would take care of it but they never offered to change the bed. We had stayed 20 days earlier and had some issues that time as well. Internet didn't work but interestingly enough their internet did so it was really an issue of someone not knowing how to reset the internet.

Was recently passing through TX on a trip and stayed the night at this HI. It didn't start well as I entered the room and after a few minutes heard fairly loud music (at 1:00 AM). Turns out it is the outside drive up music that Hampton Inn greets you with. I called down to ask if it could be turned down and the front desk said they did not have control over that. (Hard to believe) She offered to give us another room. We had booked a double room and so walked into the new room and it was a single bed. I called down again and she offered to give us two rooms. I accepted. Woke up, got in the shower. Shower head was dysfunctional. The water barely came out. Wasn't a real shower. Next I went downstairs for breakfast. Bad! The fresh fruit appeared spoiled, there was NO hot food (for at least 20-30 minutes), and so I had some OK oatmeal. Seeing as the rate that night was $168 ($155 for Hilton Honors Members), I thought that was high. I called the front desk from the road later to share my experience and this was their response: 1- The music didn't seem to bother the other guests 2- They gave me 2 rooms for the price of one. Not true. They had to because the room I paid for was not usable. 3- Regarding the shower the manager said sometimes in the mornings when everyone is showering the water pressure is low. Or it could have been calcium deposits in the pipe which the maids can't control. At this point I could tell I was getting nowhere as the manager somehow blamed me for poor maintenance and inadequate management. There you go. My experiences with Hampton Inn's are usually excellent. This was an exception. 3-

First of all it was hard to get to off of I-10 and find the road to turn right on. Leaving was worse…trying to get back on I-10 east was tricky. Road noise was awful. Breakfast was poor. Potatoes were rubbery. Bagels were stale as were blueberry muffins. I have eaten much better at other Hamptons.
