Travelodge Ashbourne

Stayed at Ashbourne Travel Lodge for 3 nights for a family visit to Alton Towers. Location was great, an easy 15-20 min drive to the theme park, and an Aldi next door ( just across the small carpark, could see it from our bedroom window) which was great for breakfast and snack/ lunch bits to take to the park. The Stepping Stones pub next door was good too, we had 2 meals there in the evenings. The family room we had was plenty big enough for two adults and two children aged 10 & 13 for 3 nights. It was more spacious than we had expected and as it’s newly renovated it was all in good order etc. It was very quiet and we didn’t hear any noise from other guests. Beds were slightly on the harder side but we all still slept well. The staff were friendly and happy to supply us with extra towels and a hairdryer when we asked for these. The only slight improvement would be for the smoking area to be away from the main front door as the smell/ smoke drifted up a bit into our open bedroom window once. Overall for the price we paid we were very happy with this Travel Lodge.

The rooms were spotless, warm and welcoming we had three of them all super and the staff are so helpful, manager on hand to advise where to eat in the town for a good breakfast. The hotel is so well looked after and we will be returning for our usual spring break.

Very welcoming staff and well presented rooms for our party get together. Cold outside but the room was very warm, comfortable, clean and quiet although the car park was full and the hotel busy we had another good nights sleep at this place. Thank you.
