Vraiment satisfaite de mon séjour.

I had the most enjoyable 8 night stay at the Mercure in Clermont-Ferrand. My room had a very nice modern feel, and overlooked the Place de Jaude. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff asked me ahead of time if there was anything extra they could do for me. I explained to them I was traveling overnight to France from the states, and inquired if I could have a room available when I arrived. They said they would do the best they could, and when I arrived they had my room immediately available. After traveling 18 hours, and 3 flights later, having a room immediately available was the best feeling ever. The front desk staff were polite, and friendly. They explained how everything works at the hotel, and asked me to call the front desk should I need anything. Being from the states, safety is always a major concern for me. The front desk explained to me that no one can get to my floor without a room key, which you also need for the elevator to get to the floor your room is on. I felt very safe at this hotel. Breakfast, which was included in my stay, was amazing. Every breakfast item you can imagine, they had there. They had so many different types of coffee, and tea; it was unbelievable. The staff in the breakfast room were very polite, and eager to help you in any way. The breakfast room was very large, with plenty of tables, and comfortable seating, with a very inviting atmosphere. I looked forward to having breakfast there every morning. On my last day, the front desk staff had a taxi waiting for me at 5:30 am, very early in the morning, to take me to the airport. I could not have asked for more. If I had to think of one thing that I wish I could have had at the Mercure, it would have been to have a longer stay !

A big, modern hotel above a shopping centre very close to the town centre. It also has shared underground parking, which is a plus for a central hotel. All you would expect from a Mercure with everything clean, well organized and good check-in staff.

We chose to return for a longer stay following an initial short stay which was very pleasant. We were very happy we did so. The hotel is extremely well located. If arriving by car, use Parking Jaude B. The hotel also has luggage carts on the ground level which can be used to transport luggage from the parking. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, English is great. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is great, lots of choice, spacious eating area. Rooms are very well appointed, lots of plugs for various devices. It was quiet and the bed very comfortable.

The reception team is fab, gave excellent parking instructions. On arrival, check-in was quick, with a very friendly feel. The hotel is new and modern, and situated right in the centre, walking distance to everything. Our room was clean, modern, and up to a typical Mecure standard. I say this, as our next stop was at a Mecure in Tours, was very disappointing.

This is rated the best hotel in Clermont. OK. A rather basic hotel, breakfast, site and view are good but I rate this as a 1-2 night hotel maximum. Small gym WITH video camera in the gym. A 100-120 Euro hotel maximum. Overpriced if you pay more.

Superb Mercure in a fantastic location, the staff on reception are extremely friendly and helpful and even supplied us with a city map. The hotel is modern and well decorated throughout and the rooms are very nicely presented. The breakfast is excellent and the whole breakfast team go out out of their way to ensure you have everything you need and nothing seems to be to much trouble for them. There is a public car park under the hotel and although it costs 18€ per day it is worth it, we parked our motorcycle there for our 2 night stay. We would definatley stay here again.
