Aurum Lodge

We were so pleasantly surprised, absolutely hands down a great place to stay. The views are like paintings and the food was so so good! Breakfast was included and while they only hand a limited dinner menu, it was outstanding! The rooms in the lodge were very comfortable, and clean. Will definitely being going back again.

Wanted to hike in to see Little Indian Falls and decided to combine it with a lunch stop at Aurum Lodge. The short walk to the falls was a treat and lunch was excellent. The Wagyu Burger was the best burger I have ever had! We have been for dinner as well and enjoyed an excellent anniversary dinner with special touches by Sophie and her staff. This family is working hard to update the place and we hope they can make it work. It is a great stop for a meal as you explore the area with cold craft beer after any adventure in the west country. We will return!

AURUM lodge has recently been taken over and has new management. This beautiful eco lodge is just off David Thompson Highway almost on the shores of Abraham lake in the pine forest! Renovations have started to refresh the lodge but the most welcome addition has been the opening of the new restaurant “The Golden Peaks Restaurant” that offers breakfast and dinner and soon, Lunch. The food was stunning, the service simply impeccable. Sophie and her team have gone out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and relaxed!! The atmosphere is friendly and intimate, the lodge is an absolute gem, prices very reasonable in my opinion!! I wish the new owners and the team every success, if a quiet intimate few days away from urban chaos is what you seek, look no further!!

We had a lovely stay in this fantastic lodge, we had an upstairs room which was really spacious with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The hospitality from the family is amazing and delicious food. There is also some great hiking nearby

Aurum Lodge is a peaceful paradise facing Abraham Lake. The owners have been there for 24 years and built the lodge and on site cabins. There’s no one there but you, other guests and the surrounding beauty of nature. Rooms are clean and bright, meals are superb and the quiet all around you is rare. It was lovely talking with other interesting people from all over the world about where they had traveled and sharing plans with each other. We highly recommend this uniquely beautiful spot!

We spent about 1 week of our round trip here in this beautiful place. I can say this was the highlight of our trip. Thank you Alan and Madeleine that we could stay a little longer with you. We enjoyed our stay with you very much and will always keep it in our memories.
