The house sits on 54 acres in Peaceful Valley at 9750 feet above sea level where you can watch the elk and the deer graze in the evenings. Trails extend up the mountain for look-out views or down the hill to the ATV bridge across Chicago Creek. If you are a hiking enthusiast, you can cross the creek and head up the private road 2.6 miles to Idaho Springs Reservoir or keep going up forest trail 52 to Chicago lakes and even all the way up to Mt. Evans.
