Secret Escape deal with DBB and afternoon tea is highly recommended. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ours a Courtyard room also had a great view of the lovely gardens. We ate in the brasserie which exceeded our expectations. Both the service and food were excellent. 5* for a weekend break in the country.

Another successful golf trip to Ardencote. Honestly I can’t complain anything. Room was clean, beds were comfy and they offer fresh towels daily which we didn’t need so just told the cleaner we didn’t need them. Breakfast - 5 stars Dinner - 5 stars All the staff were lovely. Used the spa every day, pool was a little cold but once you were in it was fine and dandy. There were 12 of us as we had dinner in a private room. Thanks again to everyone at Ardencote. Also, the golf site manager was a lovely bloke. Took some pics for us on the tee.

Highly Recommended. My husband and I spent here a weekend l. Amazing location, lovely Spa facilities and nice food, friendly staff always there to help. In the evening we had a lovely walk on the premises. Beautiful place quite and relaxing.

Stayed here with work. Very tranquil hotel with amazing grounds. Food okay, nothing to shout about and the breakfast was only average. Now the not so good, the bar closes far too early and does not let you charge anything to the room. The wifi is shocking in the bedrooms and the phone signal is non existent as a result I will not be going back.

Disappointing level of service. This is a well-appointed hotel that is sadly not up to 4 star standard in the area of service. We were kept awake until the early hours by a loud TV in a nearby room. We rang the front desk multiple times but no one answered. (Actually that's not entirely accurate, at one point someone picked up the phone and then hung up...not very helpful) When we complained in the morning we were told to write an email. We did this and we're told it would be answered in 2 weeks. Not what a 4 star hotel should be aspiring to. Also...get to breakfast before 9am otherwise the coffee will be tepid and gritty and the tea will be stewed. Not a great experience

Truly terrible, I would give no stars if I could. We were kept awake by the room next door and their loud tv well past 2am and despite calling the main desk (supposed to be manned 24 hours a day) for what must have been 30 minutes there was no answer. The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had and when I complained at the desk about my stay I was told that that I must email the manager who would be in touch within 14 days. I’ve still not received so much as an apology after 10 days! Shocking for a so called luxury hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday on a Friday to Saturday and had a really lovely stay. We did a package which included a cream tea on the day of arrival, a three course meal in the evening and breakfast. All the food was absolutely delicious I really couldn't fault anything. Our evening meal really was superb. The quality of the food was fantastic and the portions were very good. It made a nice change to have good quality sausages and bacon for breakfast as so many good hotels skimp on the quality of these things. We used the indoor pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, steam room and sauna, which was lovely, however we didn't realise the Spa area and outdoor pool were extra. We would have paid the extra but you pay to use it for either the morning, the afternoon or the evening so unfortunately by the time we had realised this we wouldn't have been able to make the most of it, we only really wanted to use it for an hour. If I returned I would pay the extra to use the spa especially on a nice day as the outdoor pool area looked really nice. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are so friendly and polite. I would definitely love to return here.

This is our second time here. Popped in early for a drink in the bar on arrival and found our room was ready so checked in .What brilliant staff in the bar and restaurant very efficient and friendly. Used the pool and steam room . Great lockers no key or coins needed and towels from the spa reception. Room was great and in a quiet part as requested. We both had different courses for dinner and both were superb . The chicken and pork were amazing. Well done the Chef .An excellent selection at breakfast both hot and cold. Coffee and tea at the table which we like . All in all a very good experience Many thanks to all the staff. We will be back to stay again

Fantastic spa break. Highly recommended. Booked 2 rooms for 2 night spa break. Spa facilities lovely - fantastic treatments. Loved the outdoor pool and spa pool which was helped by amazing weather. Indoor pool was cold which is the only negative thing I can say. Indoor jacuzzi great. Loads of other facilities we didn't use - tennis, squash, table tennis. Rooms are lovely - spacious and clean with the comfiest beds ever. Good air con. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner included in our package and although the menu was quite limited the quality of the food was all fantastic hot and fresh. Waiting staff were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to check we were happy with everything. Beautiful hotel both inside and the grounds. Fantastic value spa break.

Spacious, clean and well maintained rooms. Good selection of food and drink available. Grounds are great for a walk. The indoor pool area is nice however the limited number of beds was the only issue! Overall, a really good stay here.

We visited here for a special birthday - the experience was amazing we had use of the spa and I had a tranquil sleep massage which was amazing. We had cream tea and an evening meal all of which was exceptional!, catering for gluten free was not a problem at all. Staff were happy and did everything to help, nothing was a problem We had to move rooms as the midgets were bad in one of the rooms, we were quickly moved into a different room.

Ardencote is a lovely hotel with very professional, and conscientious staff. All staff done a great job room cleaned to a high standard. Dining room staff very efficient polite and welcoming. They were responsive without being intrusive. Couldn't fault them. Bar staff again really courteous, professional and the barman sorry don't remember his name he offered to make any cocktail I wanted even if not on list when I suggested a cocktail made with rum he came up with a really amazing cocktail which I thoroughly enjoyed. Reception staff most helpful too. Would definitely stay again beautiful hotel fab facilities amazing food let chefs know! and surroundings are stunning. Please let all staff know about this review.

No spa staff to greet us just the young man from the gym who did not show us around. More than 12 guests in the spa in the morning session. Walls and floors in the spa were dirty, so was the changing rooms and we did not see a single cleaner all day from 9:30-4:40pm. Lunch was poor. My facial was not able to go ahead and they never offered me a selection of different body treatments instead they just gave me one which was not good for me. Poor experience over all and not worth £130 at all. Do not recommend

I would just like to thank everyone at ardencote. My daughter had her wedding reception here March 23rd 2024. Everything went to plan, the staff were excellent and polite, food was lovely they couldn't do enough. Brilliant day and would highly recommend.
