Was disappointed when check in with one female front desk staff. I booked a room with a river view. Was told that was not the case. Need additional cost to have a river view room. Disputed the additional cost and due to their negligent or otherwise offer me a river view room or in lieu of a basket of fruits which I both rejected. That is not what I expected. I expected sincere and honest transaction. As for breakfast, we have 1 free coupon for 7 nights. However, I said I need additional 2 more persons, I was taken aback when we haggle over pricing and mode of payment. Final price was Rmb 220. Our Alipay couldn't work, she don't accept credit card and then she said she accepted cash which she initially refused. From Rmb 220 down to Rmb 200 is a surprise. My question is not about money but professionalism.
Beside the above incident, the stay was comfortable except for the late night car honing which was irritable. The staff were helpful to my needs. The housekeeping needs improvement as I noticed toilet bowl was not washed on certain occasions and shampoo, conditioner and body wash was not top up or replenished.
A bench in the room would be good to place the luggage on it.
Both the lifts are slow and needed improvement especially in terms of speed. A 3rd lift cum fireman lift would be ideal considering the building is 27th floor. This will acts as fireman's lift in case of emergency for quick response.
