Crown & Cushion Hotel

We had 3 rooms for my family for just 1 night. All rooms seemed modern and bright with plenty of space and amenities. A great price for 3 rooms! We arrived and parked in the private car park to the rear of the hotel and were checked I promptly and all three rooms were available. We never ate in the restaurant / bar but enjoyed a few drinks in the evening in the bar which was very cosy and a great choice of drinks. Everyone enjoyed a good nights sleep with very comfy beds, plenty of plugs sockets sockets. Toiletries were also provided! Check out was late at 11am

We were staying in Chipping Norton for one night, which seemed to be exceptionally busy for people eating. We called into the Crown & Cushion and had a really enjoyable meal with drinks. The bar was tucked away past reception and was reasonably quiet which was perfect for us, we don’t like noisy or busy places. The staff were all lovely and attentive. A basic menu for food however fine for us as we aren’t fussy eaters, both meals and drinks ordered swiftly, via table service. One gammon steak and one lasagne - both meals were exceptionally well portioned and delicious. I love a cheesy and meaty lasagne and this was just perfect, served sizzling hot too! Both dishes recommended. Our table was just below the TV which was great for watching the football. It was all reasonably priced and we both left happy. Thank you.

We had a coach house room at the top of the carpark which was a bit tired. The main door stuck so required slamming shut - which we realised when the family staying in the room above us spent most of the night coming and going slamming the main door outside our door each time. The shower plug hole needs unblocking as within 2 minutes the water filled the tray and almost overflowed - so had to cut shower short. Turn on all radiators as soon as you get there as the windows aren’t double glazed so it’s chilly and a bit noisy too. Kettle switched itself on and off randomly by itself too - so don’t know if it’s ******* 👻 It is great location for staying in Chipping Norton high street and reasonable price

We had a lovely three night stay. We had a four poster room which was well equipped and in keeping with the character of the town. It was excellent value and the service was super. Peaceful but with life, clean, warm and welcoming. Would recommend.

We arrived to check in, pressed the buzzer to alert staff but was left a good 10/15 minutes before someone arrived. The room was very outdated. My partner paid for large double bed, no way was it bigger than a normal double. The bed was really uncomfortable. The room needs updating, it’s a little creepy I felt. We left early before checkout. Our stay was ok but I don’t think we’ll return.

I stayed for 1 night and a fairground was on in front of the hotel, so absolutely no parking and none in hotel car park. I was given key to my room and had to walk to back of car park.It was worse than student accommodation ( seriously) The carpet stained, linoleum floor in tiny shower, freezing cold, kettle no cups. No phone in room, no internet. X1 small towel. Initially I opened the wrong room, yes my key opened another room !! When I told reception “ oops you might have a master key” really!!!! I was so scared staying there, I wedged my suitcase against the door. I was literally in the back in the car park. I have never experienced anything like it, the room is nothing like the website advertised. The staff wanted no feedback, case of well we have your money. £130 weekday no breakfast and absolutely no facilities I was there as purchasing a property. Many local people have since told me never stay there and all recommend ‘The Premier Inn’ The place needs a full refurbishment and staff that are interested in the customer. I didn’t want to give any stars but have to on trip advisor to continue. I have never ever written such a bad review but this place has no redeeming qualities Actually it has one, it is in the middle of beautiful Chipping Norton
