The location is towards the outer parts of Chikmaglur, but once you enter the gates it is a seperate ecosystem in itself. We stayed there over the weekend and the property which has 29 rooms was fully booked. Loved the rooms nestled in nature with privacy. The food options are also good with malnad cuisine . There was live music and karaoke during the weekend so would definitely recommend for a peaceful couple or family getaway

You have a cute bar with a snooker table. A large pool, indoor games with the latest X-Box, outdoor games, blissful massage at the SPA, crooning to the lovely little pool-side band, some super-tasty evening snacks, a Bonfire on a chilly night - will complete your experience, satisfying your all senses and soul! The best part is, the quintessential Taj hospitality, making you feel at home!

We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Our cottage was good, quite clean with a few cobweb issues in the corners. We were attended to very promptly, be it the housekeeping, restaurant or front desk. Immediate assistance provided as and when required. Breakfast spread was basic though, tastewise too was OK. Servers were good and attentive. Macquene who attended to us mostly was excellent, always serving with smile and went out of his way to cater to our requests. Kerala aayurveda massage was very good as well. Resort is spread on a great property, nestled among the forest, with amazing greenery, trees, variety of birds and others flora and fauna. Had a very peaceful and pleasant stay with lovely weather at 20° ! Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a break from the city hustle bustle and immerse in nature.

Enjoyed our 5th anniversary weekend at Gateway Chikmagalur. The property, slightly away from the main city, is in a beautiful location, surrounded by contemporary designs, a nice pool and rooms surrounding the main Area. We were welcomed by the staff with a nice coffee based welcome drink. Darshan showed us around the entire property, before leading us to our room. The room was quite spacious with a small sitout balcony facing the garden/pool. It also had a nice cozy swing. The room had a contemporary design, was clean and stocked with some snacks. The bathroom, thoigh a bit small, was again clean and stocked with all toiletries. Darshan and Raghavendra were very helpful in guiding us about places to see around Chikmagalur. They had a high tea with snacks in the evening, which was great for the climate. Buffet breakfast was a bit short of expectations. The spread was very limited and even the taste of few dishes were sub par. This is something they need to work on to make it a perfect experience for guests. Overall, we had a great stay at this property. The staff is very cordial and helpful. Rooms are pretty. Breakfast needs to be improved on.

I had a pleasant stay. Very nice hotel and ambience. Well maintained as well. Darshan helped us with nearby sightseeing. Only suggestion to the management is that food quantity needs to be increased for the ala carte items. Perhaps some additional choices for high tea as well.

1. This place has water dripping over the walls. 2. There are bugs on the bed. 3. The pool starts at 3 feet and ends at 6. 4. The service takes really long. 5. Has a 2 day cancellation pollicy. Don’t visit, it caust us a bomb and doesn’t pay off. It’s not worth the stars.

Went there for an office Team-family outing. The whole Gateway Team welcomed us and took care of us quite well. Food was great. Rooms were amazing. Enjoyed the Couple singers and karaoke in the evening. Hospitality at its best. Will definitely go back with friends and family.
