This was our second stay at Chichester Southgate Premier Inn, and once again, it offered exactly the kind of peace and comfort we needed—this time under slightly more stressful circumstances. I stayed on Sunday night ahead of a hospital procedure, and then again on Tuesday night after being discharged. My husband, Peter, stayed the full three nights to be nearby, and the Premier Plus room was a real win for him. The bed was as wonderfully comfortable as always, and I’ve long been a fan of Premier Inn’s blackout curtains (seriously, they’re a game-changer). Peter especially appreciated the quiet environment, the rare luxury of full control over the TV remote, and the mini fridge in the room, which came in very handy during his solo stay. The shower was another highlight for him—powerful, hot, and perfect for unwinding. He also enjoyed a hot breakfast each morning that was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. That said, the only aspect that could use improvement is the breakfast process. Unlike other Premier Inns where there’s a buffet, this location requires you to place an order with staff. While this is fine for most, Peter has high social anxiety and finds ordering face-to-face difficult. Thankfully, knowing the routine from our previous visit helped, but a self-serve or hybrid option would make the experience far more accessible and relaxed for people like him. All in all, it was another restful, clean, and well-organised stay—one that helped ease the strain of a hospital trip. Thank you, Premier Inn Southgate. We’ll absolutely return—hopefully just for leisure next time!
