Cabot Trail Sea & Golf Chalets

Two bedroom cabin on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Everything needed in kitchen. Clean and comfortable with chairs for sitting on front porch. Convenient to pub for music and food. Friendly staff available to help if needed. TV with basic channels and WIFI access.

Stayed with a friend. Staff is very friendly, ideal location close to everything, kitchen is supplied with everything you need, big clean bathroom. Beds a bit hard but not terrible. For the price it's actually perfect.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before but we are really frustrated and upset over the situation that had occurred. I had called the evening before to ask for a late checkout (12pm instead of 10am). I offered to pay an extra fee and was told I would not be charged and that a note was made on my file to ensure the cleaners were aware of the time change. I received a call from the office at 10:20 the next morning asking me if I was aware that checkout was at 10am. I told them of course I was aware but we had confirmed the evening before that we would be able to stay until 12pm. I was told that she okayed that request before they had someone new checking in that day and was then asked to be out of the cottage within 15 minutes. This was all in a condescending tone and I felt like I was being put down. We were great guests, kept our place very clean, and we’re barely in the cottage as we went for dinner, etc. I’ve stayed here a few times and had looked forward to it. Unfortunately, I will be choosing a different location next time.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, good seating space both inside and outside. The kitchen was adequately equipped for very simple cooking. Gas grill on porch. You're sitting in the middle of a field, basically, in rows of cottages, but there is a partial view of the water, the Le Portage golf course is a 2-minute walk next door, and the park entrance is only about 5 minutes away. Parking right next to cottage.
