Campbell's Resort

On business trip here got a two bedroom suite. Rooms seemed tired and need of upgrade. Air conditioning only in main room not in either bedrooms. Tiny bathroom classic 1960s fixtures. No dresser in either bedroom. Definitely Campbell's need to be remodeled. Big plus location. Location.

Hotel is historic and really nice. We had a lakefront room. Beautiful property. Even kept hot tubs going outside even while snowing. Lakefront rooms are a bit of a challenge to get to via stairs from lot. Tend to freeze up and are icy in winter. Right at start of Downtown. Can walk to activities.

We spent 1 night here near the end of a 2 week motor trip. A bit of a splurge but with their fall rates in effect - worth it. We had a ground floor room that opened onto a small patio and the grassy lake shore. The room had all the usual amenities and a very comfortable king bed. While near the end of the season, it was warm enough to spend the day on the sandy beach and swim in the lake. There are lovely paths, docks and gardens on the property. We enjoyed the Happy Hour at the on-site tavern and it was an easy walk to the local Safeway, the Riverside Park and downtown restaurants. I hope to return.
