"The location was good and everything nearby was convenient. However, there was a serious issue with SMOKING!!!!!. Even though I booked a non-smoking room, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, as if people had been smoking there for a long time. I couldn’t sleep at all because when I lay down on the bed, the cigarette smell was very strong. I ended up with a headache, and my nose even started to hurt. There was also an additional unpleasant smell besides the cigarette smoke. Because of this, I would not recommend this place. Also, they charged a 100 yuan deposit, which was not mentioned in the listing."

"The hotel's location is good and easy to reach attractions and malls. The receptionist was nice. However the chef mistakenly thought i had already eaten breakfast and get angry and shouted at me. He was rude. I was also bitten by small animals."

"I can recommend this place. I arrived early in the morning and they let me leave my luggage as well as check in and use the bed. They also sent many instructions with directions. Place is very clean and bed was comfy with lights, fan and a power outlet. Free landry (as of now) with space to dry. First time I received a clean towel without asking in this country. Bathroom has toiletries (soap, toilet paper, shampoo, shower gel, even conditioner). It is possible to meet people in the common area. However, you will need to boil your own drinking water here. They have three kettles, though. Kitchen otherwise only has a sink and a microwave. Biggest downside is that there is only one bathroom for 14 males. People had to wait a lot. And, of course, the cultural downside that people will likely smoke in their beds, spit around, be noisy and that the male bathroom will have urine splashed around as always. I wish there was a table in the common area, too. If you want some local food, make sure to cross the big road and walk into road on the other side. Lots of local eateries on the right side."

"I am very pleased with my visit to Hailiang Plaza Hotel (Zhongshan Road Metro Station). Good location in the center. Nice, helpful staff. Good daily services and cleaning. The hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of the city, with easy access to the metro station, shops, and local attractions. This made it very simple to explore the area and enjoy everything the city has to offer. The staff were consistently kind, attentive, and ready to help with any request, which created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The daily cleaning service was reliable and thorough, keeping the room fresh and pleasant throughout my stay. Overall, the combination of excellent location, professional service, and friendly hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. I would gladly recommend Hailiang Plaza Hotel to other travelers and would be happy to return here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality and wonderful experience!"

"The hotel is in a tower above a Wanda mall. It has convenient transportation. Check in is in 2410, 24th floor block B which is easy to find once you know that. The room was bigger than expected, with some basic amenities and a sofa. Nice and quiet."
