Howard Johnson by Wyndham Chattanooga Lookout Mountain I-24

I didn’t like that the entrance is on the outside. You can hear every noise there is. I flushed the toilet and it just kept running. I had to call front desk. The walls need to be painted. The bathroom needs to be repainted. You randomly hear like tapping or knocks, I’m not really sure what or where it’s coming from. I will not return here

Overall it was acceptable. They forgot room cleaning even through it was requested. You get what you pay for.

Vanity was plugged and not draining. Floor was sticky with some substance at door way upon entry to room.

This place was a complete dump. It was supposed to be smoke free but as soon as we opened the door to the room cigarette smoke hit us in the face. The bed and sheets were dirty with cigarette burn marks in the blanket. The toilet is so low to the ground you need a forklift to help get off of it. We booked the room 3rd party and requested 2 double queen beds and didn’t get that. The employees are shady and the place gives off creeper vibes. Definitely go somewhere else.

We stayed 1 night. Will not ever stay here again. Place was a dump. Had to pay a $50 deposit for possible damage (really?) that we still have not been credited back yet, no mention of this when we booked online. Guy at check in was rude. Guy at check out barely spoke English and could not figure out how to give us a receipt. Questionable people walking around parking lot, one of them ended up being an employee. Not sure if they lock the lobby up at a certain time because there was a night check in window which made us nervous about the safety of the area. We were told breakfast was Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, and blueberry muffins, that's it so nothing for Diabetic people. Most hotel beds are very hard but this one was so soft we sank in. Not a lot of restaurants nearby either so we had to have unhealthy fast food.

Front desk Donald was professional, accommodative and knowledgeable. He made the stay pleasurable. Clean, comfortable,

Last minute decision after long day on road. Had previous great experience at other HoJo location so was looking to repeat. Overall it was just okay & economical for laying our heads down for the night. In contrast to other HoJo we stayed at, this 2-story did not have inside room access w/elevator. Property seemed dated. Breakfast was very sub-par! Bright spot was the young man working the front desk. Extremely friendly and even came to our room pronto to help us get the TV working. If just looking for an economical place to sleep for the night I would say consider it.

First and foremost the gentleman that checked me in was fantastic! Friendly and caring! The property is very old and very run down. The door to my room wouldn’t open, I had to slam myself into it from the outside for it to even open, and that took several attempts before it opened. The floors were dirty, ceiling in the bathroom is pealing and the moulding around the tub is coming off. The bathroom floor is also in need of repair. The bathroom sink was dirty and looked to be damaged? Not sure what was going on there. The heater! This was why I didn’t stay my full stay. I turned the heater on and it smelled like there was something dead in it. I slept without heat that night and went to different hotel in the morning. The property needs major care and cleaning. Being old is one thing, but this place is more than old.

Service at check-in was outstanding! However the floor of the room was dirty, we shared a wall with the laundry room and it got a bit loud at night. That same wall had both the television and microwave sharing a power *****. Most of the time, using the microwave would trip the outlet/entire power *****, so we had to use the microwave in the lobby. We also noticed that to receive housekeeping services, they must be requested by 10am the day before you wanted them. We requested on a Saturday morning to have housekeeping services on the following Monday, but never received them. Upon asking at the desk for fresh towels and toilet paper, though, they were readily available and happily supplied. The options for breakfast were limited, but hot water and coffee were supplied 24/7. Overall an adequate hotel, a great rate, friendly service, but room for improvement.
