Read Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby is classic and our Manor room was well appointed. We encountered two problems though. The front desk clerk was very short with us at checkin and seemed annoyed to answer our questions about valet parking. But, most importantly, our room was so very noisy at night. The walls are paper thin and we heard every conversation in the neighboring room. Also, the doors in our hallway closed with a loud bang every time a guest closed their door. It was one of the worst nights of sleep we have ever encountered in a hotel. At checkout the clerk did not greet us except to ask if we wanted our receipt printed or emailed. No “How was your stay?” was asked. We chose not to complain to her at checkout as she didn’t seemed concerned about us as guests.

Very lovely old, old hotel in downtown Chattanooga. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and both the food as well as service were excellent!

It's a very nuce hotel, super clean, good location, close to many restaurants. And the staff here are super friendly too. I definitely will come back.❤️

前台板著臉，門口代客泊車25一天，還要再另外加税。房間很大，熱水不夠熱，衞生間熱氣打不進多少，洗澡都不敢洗太久怕着涼。酒店本身不錯，很有歷史感，保養的也不錯。

I would live in this hotel if I could. My only complaint was the pool was closed for a part of 2 days and we stayed so our kids could swim, but it was not the hotels fault. A accident in the pool closed it, and even though our kids were mad it was still an amazing hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly as well. The rooms were top notch and very upscale and comfortable. I’d stay here every time.

The Read House was beautiful, and I liked that it had historic charm and ambiance. The service (valet, doorman, front desk, bartender, etc.) was excellent, and the valet was always pretty quick to retrieve our car. We stayed in the historic tower which was nice, and it was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. The hotel has the advantage of being located near some restaurants as well as easy access to the highway. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area!

Was a good experience but would have appreciated little touches like complimentary coffee for in lobby. Our room did not have a lot of supplies. Had to call reception for coffee supplies in the room ‘, extra blanket (the heating system was very smelly to operate)

Beautifully restored art-deco era hotel. Common areas are gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. Great location too; walkable to tons of restaurants and bars.

It was a nice hotel for the night. The side by the road can be pretty loud until about 9pm other than that it was a really cool place to stay while traveling through.
