The Cedars Hotel and Restaurant

I was in room 24. Like many hotels, there's clearly issues about keeping rooms in a good state of repair after COVID cut their income for over a year. I just needed a clean room for a couple of nights whilst working in Loughborough - and that is what I got and for a competitive price when compared to others locally. Very friendly staff. I didn't need breakfast nor an evening meal, nor did I use the bar. Good car parking onsite (which is not available in the Travelodge/Premier Inn locally). The only downside that really impacted on me was the radiator was on 24/7 and had no controls on it. I had to sleep with the window open to stop it being tropical. I would use the place again.

Nice hotel, great staff, good food, fantastic location, ideal for visiting the Great Central steam heritage railway. Only 4 stars as they are still in the dark ages of Covid with card only payments. I'm just adding some nonsense because apparently I have to write 200 characters.

Nice place to stay, lots to do and see in the area, staff friendly, clean comfortable beds, would definitely stay again. If I'm honest though the breakfast is well over priced and wasn't very nice however evening meals were lovely.

General update in room and en-suite required , cobwebs all around top of walls, Good standard of breakfast provided to all peoples tastes, friendly reception staff at both check in and breakfast , sufficient parking spaces.

Room was terrible and very dated. Black mould in shower/tiling, cobwebs on ceiling, room smells as you walk in, just looks very run down. Cleaner would only do your bed and empty bins - nothing else. Not much choice for GF menu. Friendly staff but would not recommend on going back.

Friendly staff, great food and good value rooms - well worth a visit for a quick overnighter Sirloin steak was lovely and bar had a good selection Welcome was excellent Single room didn’t have a bath as advertised but no big deal
