Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Matthews

The property was convenient to Charlotte and the nearby communities I was visiting. The staff was professional and accommodating. The hotel was clean, I have no issues with the care of the room or facilities. The pool was nice, but there weren’t towels for use at the pool. My only complaint was noise. The room above us had guests running around, stomping, laughing, and yelling throughout the night. I notified the front desk, it quieted briefly, but the stomping, running and occasional loud laughing and conversation and yelling carried through until about 1:30 AM. It quieted enough that each time I nearly called the front desk I stopped because they stopped long enough for me to think they were done for the night. Initially when I called, the staff had offered to move us, but my kid was already asleep. So, I was hopeful that the other guests would be more considerate once they were notified that they were being disruptive. I was too optimistic. Breakfast was a pretty standard affair, no complaints there. The dining room was nice, the kitchen area was clean and well maintained. I requested a late checkout, and the staff accommodated it, thankfully since we had a rough night with the noise. Unfortunately, the conference room booked for Sunday morning with loud music blasting… so much for resting before our return trip home. Noise aside, the accommodations were very nice. The staff did try to recover our experience. I probably wouldn’t rebook here though.

Could not turn heat beyond 73 degrees on a cold January day; Shower curtain too short caused water to pool on bathroom floor; sink had slow drain.

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Friendly employees. Good breakfast. Quiche, scrambled eggs, small bottles of milk, baby yogurts. As well as breads and cereal. Could hear noisy neighbors more than would like. But not horrible.

Everyone was nice, room and hotel were clean, breakfast was good - not 5 start but did not expect it to be - but was better than other places we have stayed at.

This was a quick overnight stay on Christmas Eve. We had no issues and appreciated the nice accommodations.

Great stay. Excellent service. Except for the woman at the front desk who was extremely rude. I wish I got her name, but the only identifying detail I can remember is that she had a head wrap on.

Alot of noise above our room. Needs more pillows on the bed. And a pair of underwear was left on the floor when we walked in.

Friendly greeting at checkin. Room was clean and comfortable. However the breakfast room rating was 91.5, the food was average, but the staff in the breakfast area was eating while restocking food on the buffet, even had a mouthful of food as she served a customer sausage that had just come out. Checkout was easy and friendly. It would be nice to have enough towels in the room for all guests (there were 4 of us which was stated on the paperwork with only 2 washcloths and 3 towels in the room). I would stay here again, but not eat the continental breakfast.

Stayed here for one night, but it was worth more than the price. Room was extremely comfortable and remodeled. Bathroom was nice and room was extremely clean, very much enjoyed the stay.
