Rushop Hall

Beautiful quiet setting, lovely warm welcome (by the hosts and the cats!), comfy bed, comfortable room with nice hot shower and tasty breakfast with quality local ingredients. Just 20 minutes by car from Buxton and the Opera Hoise. What more could you want?

We had a lovely weekend break at this amazing place . We stayed in the barn conversion which was perfect for our fur baby 🐾really comfy bed and high beams were in keeping with the style . Have to mention jans breakfast was perfect with the addition of rhubarb and fruits to please anyone . Thank you jan and Neil for your hospitality . We will meet again🙏👍🥾

Friendly welcome to a stunning place... Our room was in the main house, it was spotlessly clean, all amenities catered for, fresh milk on arrival. I had the best nights sleep in a long time. Fantastic bed, good quality bedding and comfy pillows. Great water pressure in the shower, good quality shower products and extra large fluffy towels. High standard breakfast cooked by our hosts, fresh fruit and yoghurt, fresh juice, coffee and tea refilled and a superb Derbyshire breakfast.. well cooked with local produce... Excellent find.. well done

Wonderful Hosts that were very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. Room was very clean and cozy (Bridles) Absolutely beautiful location in the Peak district. Amazing breakfast We would love to return and especially to bring our dogs and maybe horses too.

I escaped to the countryside for New Year's Eve with my wife and this place was just perfect for an opportunity to leave 2023 behind us. We planned ahead and we're cautious about not getting lost - make sure to look out for the signpost from the Rushop Edge/Sheffield Road side! When we arrived, Neil and Jan made us feel welcome and showed us to our cosy room. The area is beautiful and the room was peaceful. It had all we needed for a quiet, short break. There's some great walking routes nearby such as Mam Tor down the road. The next morning, breakfast at the cafe was lovely and Neil was very accommodating for my wife's fussy requests! We only stayed for overnight but we had a great time and wished we could stay longer. Thanks for having us!

We stayed in the cottage called Top Tack for nine nights towards the end of November. We were waiting for a house purchase to complete and needed somewhere to stay - we actually only live a couple of miles away, so in other circumstances we would never have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful place. Top Tack was warm and cosy, with piping hot water, and spotlessly clean. It had an excellent kitchen, very comfortable sitting room with wood burner (which we didn't actually need because the cottage was toasty warm) and perfect wifi and Freesat reception. The location is peaceful and off the beaten track, but only a couple of minutes away from a 'main' road. As a holiday base it would be perfect, and we felt like we had been on holiday, although that wasn't the purpose of our stay! We had such a relaxing time, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rushop Hall to anyone wanting to visit the Peak District.

We spent 2 nights at Rushop Hall with our horses. We stayed in "The Edge" , having been upgraded from our original booking of "Top tack", which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was outstanding- a double bed each, all with en-suite, a very well kitted out kitchen and a super comfy living area. The horses were all stabled in a barn, with good sized stables and all hay and bedding provided, as well as mucking out equipment and a little tack room. The horses were really settled there, and quickly got used to their alpaca friends! Although the weather wasn't great, the area is fantastic for exploring on horse back with some amazing rides right on the doorstep. Jan was really helpful advising us about suggested routes and helping us get settled when we arrived. I think someone arriving in a 7.5T lorry would struggle, but otherwise I would highly recommend Rushop Hall for anyone wanting a holiday with their horse. A brief but lovely stay at Rushop Hall was enhanced by the wonderful breakfast and gorgeous setting. We stayed in Boots, a very spacious en suite room in the converted barn. And very handy for the breakfast room downstairs. The room featured a Kingsize bed, small sofa, window seat, spacious shower room, and tea and coffee making facilities. It was spotlessly clean and we were treated to views of horses in the morning. Our breakfast was absolutely superb, and it was great to meet Neil and Jan, who were really welcoming and helpful. We would recommend a stay here to anyone who loves this beautiful part of the world, and would like to explore Mam Tor, Blue John Cavern, Castleton and Edale.

such a warm welcome and a great room and service. We unfortuantely eat at the Old Hall Hotel in Hope which was dreadful and should be avoided at all costs. Great parking and very fair proces for the quality you get
