We have just returned to the UK after a great week here. We booked for 2 adults and 2 children and requested a ground floor room and were put in ground floor suite. I think this is a solid 4 star all inclusive. I heard a couple of people say ‘it’s not a five star’ but that’s because it isn’t, it was advertised on easyJet as a four star, and that’s what you get. Room - the room was spacious, clean, newly renovated and cool. It could use some additional hooks in the bathroom area for hanging towels etc, but that feels picky, and there is plenty of hanging space but minimal hangers so take some. The drains can smell through the bathroom sink, we ended up using one of the spare cups to cover the plug hole which solved the issue. The mattress topper was uncomfortably soft for us so we removed and stored it in the wardrobe. The room gets tidied and towels changed daily but I’m unsure on how much is cleaned. I can understand those in a smaller room could have a very different holiday experience, as the balconies are unusually small for a hotel, so teemed with a small room could be uncomfortable. Pool - We did set our alarm for 6.15am to nip out and grab some sunbeds, as if you can’t beat them, join them… there was no rush for them and it was actually beautiful to see some of the stunning sunrises. The hotel asks for no reserving but there is no one round the pool pre 10am to enforce it. That said there were still beds available at around 9, just not many of them! There is a self serve area for soft drinks and beers, and a bar serving cocktails etc. Food - there is good but limited choice and we had lots of tasty local dishes, which were much better than when the English palette was attempted to be catered for. Always lots of salads and fresh fruit and veg available. The pool bar has a grab and go area that serves pizzas, gyros and burgers from 10-6, and a Gelateria that between 2-3 has daily specials including pancakes, waffles, candy floss and popcorn. The main restaurant never felt overcrowded either. Drinks - the wine was drinkable (which is better than a lot of all inclusives), we found the cocktails overly sugary so steered clear, but that’s on taste. Beer was good and didn’t seem to be watered down. The red wine in the lobby bar seemed to come from a different stash and was nicer than the restaurant/pool bar stuff. Entertainment - this is an area that is potentially lacking but isn’t really our go to anyway so we weren’t overly bothered and it didn’t impact our holiday, if you expect this to be wide ranging and part of your holiday, then I’d suggest looking for another hotel. Otherwise, take a pack of cards and uno and you’ll be winning!
