The blending of elements from contemporary San Francisco loft with modern farmhouse provides a truly one of a kind experience. This is not your generic cabin in the mountains! With a fully stocked coffee bar, natural soaps and shampoos, and high speed internet, this cabin is fully equipped with the modern amenities one would expect. There are plenty of little areas to spot a herd of deer or the flying turkeys. We love the social elements of the house especially those evenings cooking around the central style kitchen and playing a game downstairs. Later in the evenings there is nothing better than retreating to catch up on some films in the upstairs living room. The location of the loft is a great launching point to explore the vibrant local area. There are many lesser known attractions that make this area feel truly undiscovered. About Blue Mountain Loft:-Full access to the cabin and entire 2 acre property-Nestled up top of a winding gravel driveway with a seasonal pond-5 minute drive into town-Keyless entry system-High Speed DSL internet (upload and download)-Roku SmartTv for viewing any and all your own streaming services -Gourmet coffee bar with Chemex pour over coffee and teas with goose neck electric tea kettle -All natural and gentle soaps and shampoos-Full water filtration with no plastics touching your water-Fully stocked kitchen with high end crockery and equipment -Several cozy seating areas on deck and an Adirondack overlook zone -Charcoal grill-A/C and Heat -Outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining and drinks-Sleeping for up to 5 people (1 queen bed, 1 queen pullout, 1 twin bed)-We will allow 2 well behaved pets under 50 pounds only for $50/pet/stay and a damage deposit. Please inquire before booking if you are bringing pets. Sleeping Arrangements: There is a queen bed up in the loft for two and a twin bed for one in the alcove. Downstairs there is additional sleeping from the pull out couch for two. When it snows guests may have to park at bottom of driveway and walk up to house.-The wood burning fireplace cannot be used under ANY circumstances! Violation of this rule will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation and action by VRBO. -We ask that all guests pack out their trash if possible as we do not have trash service up in the mountains and this really helps us out! (Not required)-While children are allowed, this is a loft in the mountains with a stairway, sloping terrain, and wildlife. Access to Snowflake Lodge resort-style recreation area with a guest fee. Quick hop to HWY 4- and 5-min drive to Big Trees, 15 minutes to Murphy's 30 min to Bear Valley and 1 hour to Columbia Historical Park. Paved driveway with level step-free entry to the home. Living area, bedroom, bathroom, deck access on main floor.The space:Freshly updated and comfortably appointed, our cabin provides the necessities for a couple nights, or a couple weeks. We especially love how the big sunlit windows in the living room overlook the forest. Step out onto the expansive deck for morning coffee in the filtered sunlight or enjoy afternoon beverages on the shady deck while BBQing your favorite meals. Explore the half acre forest of oaks and pines, keeping an eye out for the herd of 8 bucks or even the three bears we spotted when we first moved in.While there is plenty of room downstairs for fun and games, we appreciate how all three bedrooms offer space for folks to spread out and refresh for the next day’s adventures.A wide path leads down through the half acre forested property toward the golf course and picturesque walks around both lakes. Enjoy drinks at Sequoia Woods or meals at Snowflake Lodge, both in easy walking distance, or stay home and create your own beautiful meals with our well- appointed kitchen.A short drive to town offers several dining and boutique shopping options or additional hikes, water and snow adventures. The great room has a great queen sleeper bed that has the best bedtime views in the entire cabin.Guest accessThe cabin is open for your enjoyment. One of the Sierra's most premier HOA's. During the summer there's a pool, basketball, tennis, shuffle board, and so much more available to guests. If a guest is interested in using these amenities (which are only available during the summer), guest will need to purchase guest passes directly from BLS HOA. Rates are typically $15/ guest/ day and are subject to change.
