After travelling all day we arrived at this hotel at around 10.30 pm Check in was OK and we were told there was a 24 hour eatery of we were hungry. .. if you like warm to cold greasy grey looking food you'll be happy ... curled up sandwiches, cold fries, limp salad, greasy burgers ... we passed on this. Room on 4th floor, getting a lift took a while as they're permanently on a go slow. Room was OK, overlooked the pools. Make sure you keep your balcony door closed as it's noisy even during early hours as that's when the maintenance is carried out? Air con only kicks in when the door is shut too ... if you can call it that! There is a constant wiff of poo in the rooms ... not sure why but it's not nice. Bed was very uncomfortable for me and woke up every morning in agony. When the room was cleaned/ bedding changed it was a drama trying to explain what a sheet is. In the end, we gave up and made do with a duvet cover instead! The main food area is like a cattle market, everyone vieing for a table and pushing and shoving round the 'warm plates'. Food is mediocre and warm, not hot, and sometimes even cold! The choice of food is catered towards the Russians who eat it in copious amounts, so get in fast. There are several feral cats around the hotel, walking in and around the dining hall, even jumping up on to the serving plates where the food is!! Not sure this is in the food health and safety directive?? Staff were mainly rude and ignorant towards women (but it could just have been English women?) and I had to assert myself on several occasions when queuing for a drink as the male bar staff preferred to serve a 'matey' of Russian persuasion... got a few nasty looks too! The beach is just a stones throw but beware ... you'll need swim shoes as the sand is lava hot and at the waters edge it's sharp shingle There is a food area but again it's mediocre food and there's no spirits, only beer or soft drinks Toilet facilities are OK, mostly clean but toilet paper is to be put in a bin at the side of the toilet so you can imagine the whiff! Staff are on the go all the time clearing up around the pool area The sun loungers round the pool are plenty and very comfortable but the ones on the beach aren't ... you may need a cushion to lie on! The main language spoken is Turkish and Russian so good luck finding anyone who speaks English ... Google translate is handy. All staff in all areas are on their phones all the time, even whilst serving and walking around the complex If you're a non-smoker, good luck! It seems everyone smokes in this hotel, everywhere, even in no smoking areas ... (including staff) no one adheres to the rules, and staff don't bother to enforce them either. There is a spa, but again, beware they're just after your money and to buy extras... eg. it's 70€ for a 45 min massage carried out by 'professional masseur with 30 years experience' aka 'chartered surveyor' with no experience, over from Bali forced to work 1
