Casa de Cris

Stayed in this wonderful Portuguese-style hotel for a week with my friends from 17 till 24 of March 2024. We arrived at 10 and were checked in immediately. Everything was great-the room was cleaned every day, the hotel itself is really well-groomed, every detail is well thought over, loads of flowers around, picturesque tiles, much greenery everywhere. Continental breakfast is included and there is a choice of eggs cooked in different ways,cereal,toasts with jam and butter. But the main treasure is the staff. They have always been friendly, welcoming and ready to help, especially Ish, who is everywhere-in the hotel, in beach shack and so nice and positive all the time. Thank you so much for great communication and customer-friendly approach) I would really have pleasure to come here on my next holiday again and recommend Casa De Cris to tourists.

James and the team make this property outstanding! There are a few fixes needed in that the bedside shelf was hanging off on one side and the patio doors didn’t close fully but the value for money is great. The staff really can’t do enough here or at James beach shack. Will definitely be returning

Just back from a lovely 2 weeks at Casa de Cris in Cavellosum beside Mobor beach. Our room was ensuite, spacious with a nice balcony. Housekeeping came in every day with fresh towels and sheets were changed regularly. Good guesthouse accommodation (not a luxury hotel) with room fridge , kettle , cups and glasses - very comfortable bed. Everything you could expect for the price. Location is good with restaurants nearby and a 10-15 minute walk to the wonderful beach with its choice of beach shacks each with great menus, including one owned and operated by our Guesthouse host, James. We have already booked for next year!

Had a fantastic time here! This is a charming, quaint & well run stay. Loved the location as it’s in the heart of all the exciting convenient things within the town. Mikes Place is the family related restaurant next door that is fun & convenient as you have live music, scrumptious food that creates a family joyful ambience. Got an excellent room with a spacious balcony, all the amenties that you can expect at a stay are provided & is cosy, clean. Special shoutout to Susan & LIsa for being helpful always & making sure we had a comfortable time. Shout out to Tony, Omkar & Vicky as well for their assistance throughout our stay. You will appreciate the meaningful touches, well curated greenery & breakfast area through the estate. Can’t wait to revisit again soon.

This hotel is situated in a perfect location to access restaurants such as the Goan village, Octima and Mike’s places to name a few. Our room had a lovely balcony. Music within the area stops at 23:00 hrs which is necessary due to the location & getting a good night sleep. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:30, we had no complaints. 1: There is a fridge in the room. 2: Ample storage to hang clothes on rails rather than wardrobes. 3: Two bottles of water are provided in the room on arrival. Water is not replenished daily but there is plenty of shops locally to buy water. 4: The room is air conditioned & there is a ceiling fan. 5: There are adequate plugs in the room. 6: There is access to a walk-in shower, however the bathroom is basic but serves the purpose. 7: Rooms are cleaned daily, pillows and towels are very worn but clean. 8: There is access to a safe in the room, a key is provided which you keep for your duration. 9: There is coffee & tea facilities. 10: This is a 3 storey building with no access to a lift. There are a lot of steps which could be a problem if you have mobility issues. 11: The staff were lovely & very accommodating. 12: The hotel accept cash and card. There is a 12% charge if you use a card. In conclusion a great price for a basic clean hotel in a fabulous location.

This hotel is in a really good area nearby a number of eateries. However, location wise... in the blazing hot sun, we were told the ATM is just a 20 min walk. No, we didn't go. Also, the beach is sort of nearby. It makes a difference in the heat, believe me. The staff were all really nice. The room was clean. The handtowels smelled like armpits. The air conditioner never got cold. Our room had the words clean me imprinted with someone's greasy hand. Needless to say, the walls were not wiped before we checked in...We had an early return flight the following morning, so dealt with it. We were only there to enjoy the beach. This is a beautiful hotel from the outside. Also,as someone mentioned before, it's subpar. You have all the basic amenities, plus a fridge in the room. We only stayed for a day, so I can't comment too much on the atmosphere.

Clean, friendly basic accommodation. Very good location. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Extremely good value for this type of no frills accommodation. However, there is no lift so if you struggle with stairs Id chose a different place. They only have two ground floor rooms. Wifi not very good, but it’s the same everywhere in all honesty. The breakfast is very basic. Eggs, toast, cornflakes or porridge. Again, you cant complain for the cost. Casa di Cris is located in a very lively street with loud live music every night. But it does finish between 10:00-11:00pm. So not really annoying. There is a taxi service to and from the beach everyday and I can’t praise the staff that do this service enough. They are so helpful. All in all I would come back again.

This place is tucked away in a side street off the main drag. Rooms are spacious and facilities adequate (2star) but airconditioning is poor and Wifi very poor. Need to go across the road to the owner's brother's place(Mikes Place to get reasonable internet coverage

Пишу отзыв, находясь в этом небольшом отеле. Расположение хорошее, в любую сторону от отеля в шаговой доступности кафе на любой вкус. Самый дешевый ресторан Kinara, от отеля минут 15 не спеша в сторону выезда из поселка. И готовят достойно. Пример:пиво кингфишер смолл у всех 100 рупий, у них 75, и так по всему меню ценник ниже. Про музыку рядом с отелем :да, как и писали уже, до 23.30 примерно, потом тишина. Музыка у них во всех ресторанах, причем во многих живая. В Robins, что у супермаркета по дороге на пляж, она всегда. На пляж можно идти по центральной дороге, а можно срезать путь через Luisa, комплекс вилл, там дорога проходит в тени и без машин. Минут 10-15 не спеша. Шеков на пляже на данный момент 5 по обе стороны от центрального входа, цены примерно одинаковы, дают полотенца, постелить на шезлонг. Вам самим решать, ложиться на них, или на свои. До пляжа, если кому тяжело или лень, довезут на машине, надо на ресепшене только попросить. Океан супер, песочек белый, волны умеренные. Чисто. Кто то писал, что грязь, ничего подобного, всё почтенно. Народа не много, только когда местные приезжают, прибавляется шуму. Желающие съездить в Маргао или Варку на местном автобусе за 25 рупий с человека. Он ходит каждые 20-25мин с 8 до 19.00 где то. На нём табличка ,, Мобор-, Margao,, До Варки ехать на нем же, только выходить раньше. До Маргао минут 45 . Рынок в Маргао практически у остановки автобуса, где центральный сквер, только перейти на другую сторону. Там же , в сторону выезда из города напротив сквера, и остановка автобуса обратно в Мобор. Ничего сложного. Можно и на туктуке попробовать уехать. Про завтраки в отеле всё верно, глазунья и омлет, кофе и чай, 3 тоста и масло с джемом. С 8.30 до 10.30, для любителей поспать норм. Убирают каждый день и полотенца и мыльно рыльное меняют тоже . Чайник в номере, холодильник, сейф. Воду дадут по заселении, 2 бут, дальше сами, также и с кофе и чаем из набора. В общем, опрятно и чисто, всего хватает. Если, конечно, не выискивать недостатки.
