Residence Eden

Stayed in a 1 bed apartment, needs a bit of updating but very authentic. We were half board breakfast is great lots of choice, dinner is also really good no chips, burgers, chicken nuggets etc, just proper Italian food! Pools are lovely plenty of loungers at all times of the day. Shuttle bus runs from 9am to 11pm into the town. Great as a base for exploring lake Garda, Verona, Milan and Venice! Would definitely return

We are just home from a two week self catering holiday at this destination and we had a wonderful time. We arrived in the dead of night having flown into Bergamo Airport and there was no organised transfer so a car was essential. We did not allow our initial impressions to taint our experience, however when arriving at 2am it would have been nice not to have had to make our own bed. The resort was very well maintained, not a spot of litter in sight, we were encouraged to recycle and the bins were emptied very regularly - during our stay there was no evidence of the bins becoming overfull. Dogs were allowed on site and clearly the owners were very good at cleaning up after their pets (with only one evidence of a missed 'poo lift' observed). The weather wasn't brilliant during our stay, so we didn't stay around the pool very much, however the pool areas were very clean and well maintained Wifi is not available in the apartments and access to it was in the public areas - we worked around this. Towels and bedlinen change were on request which, given that we were staying two weeks, we felt was rather disappointing. It was changed upon a second request however we were just left with the bedlinen to make our own bed - we were told at the outset this was a 2 star facility and I suppose that is what makes it so. There was no room cleaning service except as a paid-for extra (upon request) which again we found a little disappointing especially as we were staying two weeks. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, the sofa not so comfortable, there was a table and two plastic chairs for use on the terrace, there was an adequate supply of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The resort was quiet. The TV provided a variety of English speaking channels for those that are hooked on news bulletins! The biggest disappointment was the lack of an on-site mini market. The literature states there is a mini market but it seems that this is for online orders but in any event it was closed during our stay. The supermarket was about 10minutes drive away, the one we found was excellent with a great range of produce however it would have been lovely to be able to buy fresh bread, milk and water with ease on site. We could not praise the shuttle service into town, highly enough. This was a regular hourly service between 9am and midday, resumed at 4pm until 6 and then again from 8pm until 11pm. We used this almost every evening to explore the town's restaurants allowing us to enjoy the local wine! On request the driver either took you up to the station or dropped you at a nearby corner thus making trips by train very do-able! Peschiera itself is a nice location allowing easy access to both the Western and Eastern shores of Lake Garda. Also 90 minutes takes you by train to Milan and in the opposite direction there is a regular train service to Verona and Venice. The regional Trenord service seems to be very well priced. We stayed at the Parc Hotel but can’t seem to find it in Trip Advisor However, this is a great complex with many pools, a great golf course and fantastic food (we went half board in the Parc.) However some negatives:- 1. The central reception area is a 800 yard uphill walk from the hotel and we had to go back to check in as we were dropped off early by TUI. Surely one of the golf carts could be employed to assist travellers 2. We booked a room with a balcony but could not use the balcony as it was totally overgrown by bushes. We complained and were fobbed off for 5 days before eventually being moved. We were told the hotel was full, which it wasn’t. They then blamed TUI and then tried to charge us an extra €20 per night even though our original room was not fit for purpose 3. Our new room had a fantastic view but when we returned on our first day water was pouring from the ceiling. We told reception but they could not call a plumber as it was too late. I find this staggering for a complex of this size 4. The food was excellent, apart from a limited choice of desserts. However, the serving staff were surly and disinterested. It was almost as if they had been trained to adopt this attitude. 5. We had lunches at the pizza and pasta bar, which was always good and the staff very friendly 6. We had one lunch at the golf hotel. It had a fantastic outlook but the food was poor. We ordered scallop and prawn bake and were presented with 2 scallops and tasteless prawns still in their shells. We expected unshelled prawn and scallops in a dish. 7. TUI did not provide a rep, so we had no excursions to book and the reception staff had limited knowledge

We stayed in the Residence Eden, which gave us the opportunity to combine best of both apartment and hotel vacationing. The resort is big enough, tidy and well maintained. There is plenty of activities for kids and adults. A very active animation team is taking care of guests of all ages. It’s never dull. We recharged and disconnected in a very nice way.

Staff through out the resort were amazing, from the check in desk to all the staff at the pizza pasta restaurant, fabulous pools we did have our favorite beside the hotel that had no children in it so we felt like we had it ourselves all the time . Food in the pizza pasta restaurant was as good as quality as down in the town 💕, apartment we said in was a 2 bed apt with a large balcony, just needed a small bit of tlc other than that it was perfect ,beds super comfy, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone .

very nice, clean,friendly＞.im only not sure what happened to wifi..but i had mine so i did not aksed.. ind the singmal is poor..its importnatn for those who are stazingfor work. please check the network in your area
