Rockville House B&B

Very clean and well kept. Beds were extremely comfortable. Patrick was helpful with suggestions for places to dine and has a great sense of humor . Only disappointment was there was no hot water not even warm water and no breakfast as advertised.

Excellent bed & breakfast just 5 minutes walk from the Rock. Great to have secure onsite parking. Very friendly and cheerful owner,lovely clean rooms,nice breakfast,reasonably priced. Was there for a trip with my 2 sons,we really enjoyed our stay. Would thoroughly recommend it and will stay here again when I'm in Cashel.

We knew this Bed & breakfast was good value. The description advertises them doing a full Irish breakfast is misleading. It certainly isn’t anywhere near it! I should know has my family are Irish ! Also lack of fresh fruit was sadly missed out. You did get a few grapes in a bowl with cheese everyday. I found the host too much sometimes. I am sure the Americans loved it. The good points is good location and cheap.

This B&B could not be more perfect. Our host, Patrick, was so incredibly nice that we immediately felt at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the beds. We had a great night's sleep after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. The irish breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty. The B&B is perfectly situated in the centre of Cashel, within a short walk of shops, restaurants, pubs and, of course, the famous Rock of Cashel. Thank you Patrick for giving us a lovely stay!

We stayed here one night, it is at the bottom of the castle. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is in a big dining room. Cereal, yoghurt you take, and Irish breakfast is served. Enough parking space and close to everything.

Cashel is a nice little place with a castle. We stayed here in a B & B. Very reasonably priced, which is on the street at the bottom of the castle. Our room had a KS bed, and 2 single beds, a large family room with en-suite. Breakfast is served in a large dining area. Cereal, yoghurts and cooked breakfast is available. Very clean and comfortable. Paddy, the owner, is quite a character!

Close to Rock of Cashel, walking distance to town and good breakfast. Friendly hosts. Our room was small as was the bathroom. Didn’t sleep well in the bed. The room was warm with the heater going and there wasn’t a way to turn off the heater without a wrench.

We circumnavigated in our rental car the entire island of Ireland. We must say, that this is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. We stayed just one night Wednesday, May 24, 2023 because this stop was mainly to see the Rock Of Cashel. If we had the time and things to do in this area, we would have stayed a whole week here. We really connected with Patrick and Heidi, they are so wonderful. When booking online, I asked if they had a room with a view of the Rock. Heidi gracefully obliged and gave us the newly renovated #5 (with that view). This room was formerly the entire 2nd floor of what used to be half of the twin home. The staircase was removed to make it a large room with a bathroom and sitting room. Patrick told me all about how he did the renovation. I have renovated many homes myself and really connected with Patrick on that level. He also has a unique and wonderful sense of humor. We had so many laughs and great conversations with our hosts. The room was super comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was immense to our every whim: endless coffee, OJ, soda bread (yum), toast, eggs, sausage, ham, tomato. The full Irish welcome. We also had full access to many rooms including the kitchen where we got up early (6:30 AM) and made ourselves coffee to then sit out front and admire the clear view of the Rock Of Cashel. We also had free shaded parking in the center court. When we arrived and wanted dinner, Heidi recommended Mikey Ryans downtown just a short walk and a fabulous dinner. The walk from Rockville House to the Rock Of Cashel is only about 10 minutes. Perfectly located, perfect hosts, wonderful stay. Very highly recommended!!!

My husband Peter and I have stayed for my years at the Rockville House B & B, and have always loved our stay. Cashel is one of our favourite places in Southern Ireland. The B & B is first class, and we always feel at home with Patrick and his lovely helper, Heidi. Would rate it ten out of ten.
