At the bottom of the mountain, very close to our property, Roan Mountain State Park encompasses more than 2,000 acres dominated by rich hardwood forest along rugged ridges. The cool, clear Doe River winds its way through the center of the park and supports a healthy population of trout. State Park activities await you including heated pool, volleyball court, tennis and basketball courts, Ranger-led hikes, fly fishing the Doe river, music/performances in the amphitheater, etc. (see https://tnstateparks.com/parks/roan-mountain) Carvers Gap Trailhead for the Appalachian Trail is just minutes away. Our 2017 Custom Built Mountain Home features great views overlooking the mountains and a spring fed pond. There is an expansive covered deck. Wood and tile floors with open floor plan. The kitchen is very spacious with a large island and view of the mountains. There is a Master Bedroom on each floor. Each Master has a laundry room and full bath. The heat system is a radiant floor with thermostats in each bedroom. Please note that the top part of our gravel road is steep and can be difficult for some vehicles and loads.
