Short New Year stay, unfortunately for a family funeral. Hotel is located next to an unrelated Greene King pub but this works well for evening dining of a reasonably priced and to a reasonable standard. Staff at hotel are friendly and helpful. I needed some directions re the funeral and Tracey on the reception was very informative and keen to help. Rooms are perfectly acceptable for short stays-comfortable bed, reasonable appointments, fairly standard for a Premier Inn. Coffee making facilities, fan, hairdryer etc.Good access to city, ample free guest car parking. All in all, good value and fit for purpose

Woman on reception Tracy was very friendly and helpful. Recommended next door for something to eat and told us to book a table. Room was clean and comfy. Hotel needs a bit of a makeover but pleasant. Meal in green king was lovely but very busy as we were told it would be

Before arriving, we checked the website for check-in time. It stated that check-in was before 11pm or else the doors may be locked. We arrived at 10.50pm and informed the receptionist we had 2 rooms booked, to be greeted with ‘I’ve just clocked off. I’m waiting for my taxi’ Hardly a warm welcome, though she did then give us our keys. No offer to book us in for breakfast though. Room signs were confusing but we eventually found our rooms. The whole place was tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. The spare pillows should have been in a sealed bag but were unsealed which led me to question if they were clean. Would recommend you use one of the other Premier Inns in the area instead.

Nice relaxing place to stay near Carlisle town centre with ample FREE parking. All the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Food in the bar/restaurant next door is inexpensive, nice and great value for money. Staff in there are also very helpful and friendly. Overall very good and we will definitely be back.

Lovely reception staff very helpful, the adjoining restaurant/ bar was awful though (the lady did advise me they aren’t together) but she helped us find somewhere else to eat down the road coach and horses and it was lovely if not better room was clean, everything was fine but the lady on reception was lovely very helpful.

We are from the Philippines. Passed by Carlisle to visit friends and partners for a few days. A good night's sleep is necessary for jetlagged. And the hotel bed did not disappoint. Waking up on cold mornings sometimes is a struggle due to jetlag but a good warm breakfast served by lovely staff like Ann made a huge difference. We got the needed rest, and we gained a friend.

Room was tired and needed a refurb, breakfast was just deep fried and fat filled. If I stay here again I wouldn't go for the breakfast option, felt like I had an uncomfortable grease lined stomach for much of the day after leaving this establishment.

The positives. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Mattress comfortable, and that is it. Room tired and slight odour of mould. Wiring exposed in bedroom 6. Curtain rail about to fall off. Bath although has been cleaned needs replacing because it is chipped and scuffed. Carpet probably new in 1974. Food availability Green King next door which is on a race to the bottom of the pond with an inner city spoons.

Friendly welcome at reception. Tracy was so helpful and booked us a table for the restaurant next door via the app. Room was a bit dusty so she cleaned for us otherwise it was comfy . Good location and friendly staff. A bit run down but pleasant.
