3 on Camps Bay

This gorgeous guesthouse is super-efficient and super-friendly – not an easy combination for a hotel management team to pull off but they do so, and splendidly. Thank you to Terence, the front desk manager, for your authentic care and effortless energy. The hotel staff have all been well trained and genuinely delight in ensuring your stay is as perfect as possible. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, super comfortable and beautifully decorated with sea views that simply take your breath away. This pleasurable experience was echoed throughout the entire hotel which has three floors. The top floor has a beautiful open plan kitchen – with magnificent sea and mountain views – where all guests are welcomed to enjoy the 24-hour complimentary tea and coffee station which showcases delicious pastries and fresh fruit, how incredibly considerate! The breakfast is scrumptious. A charmingly delightful staff member takes your order and you can enjoy the fresh ocean breeze while you wait for your brekkie. I love grapefruit which was noticed by Terence and the very next morning (and for the duration of our stay) a separate grapefruit platter was prepared for me (personally) and presented exquisitely, and stylishly decorated with other marvellous fruits. It’s moments like this that clearly highlight how the team appreciates and value their guests. A huge plus is the perfect location. The walk down to the famous Camps Bay beach is only 10 minutes away, and we had a few lovely strolls and meals. 3 ON CAMPS BAY is highly recommended – whether you are travelling for business or pleasure. Finally – and most sincerely: Thank you so much to the owners, Maria and George. You triumph with your attention to every detail, your kind hearts and your top-notch staff.

Do not hesitate when thinking about booking 3 on Canps Bay. You will not be disappointed. From the moment we arrived, which was late at night, we had a friendly greeting from Lovemore who showed us to our room. Beds are super comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits all provided as well as toiletries. Continental breakfast in the morning is superb and so is the coffee. All served by McDonald and Terence who are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. Terence was a great help in giving us guidance and ideas on places to visit etc. if we ever came back to this area we would definitely book here again and are sorry to be leaving.

Our family spent a week here, and we could not have chosen a better hotel or location! The rooms were spotless, extremely comfortable, and with spectacular views (one room was mountain-facing, and the other sea-facing). There is also a lovely pool, beautiful sea-facing deck area, and, on the top floor, a stunning communal lounge with incredible sea views. The breakfasts were fantastic, and Terrence and his team were extremely helpful and professional. The location is spot-on too; safe, scenic and tranquil, yet so close to Cape Town's busier main attractions. There are fantastic restaurants within walking distance, too. We will definitely visit again, and recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family.

Luxurious and fine place close to beach and restaurants. We had a very nice room on the top floor. Nice breakfast and good service too. Al you can wish for is here. In the better area of Cape Town.

Stayed here for 3 days and felt truly blessed. It’s wonderful. Every where is spotlessly clean and our room had an amazing view of the ocean. Loved the shared facilities that this boutique hotel has to offer. A large lounge, kitchen area with a large balcony with fantastic views. All the guests can use this and I would recommend you do. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 8 it was spacious, fabulous bathroom area and spectacular views. We would definitely stay here again.

Just spent four nights at this hotel and only have good things to say. Great location, very comfortable room, cleanliness top notch. The staff are all hardworking, polite and friendly. I must single out Terence who went above and beyond with his customer service. A credit to the hotel. His recommendations for restaurants slightly off the beaten track were superb. Would definitely return to this hotel.

This was the perfect base for our trip to Cape Town! The staff were so friendly and accommodating of our late arrival and even held onto our bags while we did some last-minute tours and sightseeing before flying home. It’s an apartment style hotel where you have access to common spaces but are otherwise left alone to do your thing. The one thing I thought I would miss was not having a bar/restaurant on-site to enjoy a drink at the end of the day, but they have a self-serve refrigerator with beer, wine, and water that was just perfect! The included breakfast was also beautiful and more than enough to get you started each morning. The setting on the hill gives the most breathtaking view of the ocean and mountains, and it was walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We made that walk 2-3 times a day and at night and always felt completely safe and comfortable. I recommend 3 On Camps Bay if you’re looking to indulge in the scenery and culinary delights of Cape Town and want to avoid the overly tourist feel of the V&A Waterfront.

3 on Camps Bay is a wonderfully located, secure, clean, friendly hotel in the upscale Cape Town neighborhood of Camps Bay. We spent six nights here following a photo safari elsewhere in South Africa. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony provided a magnificent view of the ocean in front, the Twelve Apostles to the left and Lion's Head to the right. Located in a residential area about three or four blocks from the main street where there are several restaurants and bars, it is an easy and safe walk in the day time. At night, like everywhere in South Africa, it is safer to take an Uber. The red hop on/hop off bus serves the area and connects to all of the principle sites in Cape Town. The hotel serves a fantastic breakfast. The staff are extremely helpful, courteous, and as nearly everyone we met in South Africa - very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
