Loved our stay here - just spent one night as we attended a wedding in the area but wished we stayed longer.

Hawkhouse has single handily broken my personal rating scale ……. They hosted us in the truest South Africa way “ ubuntu” . Going above n beyond our simple request for shelter and peace they gave us a space to feel ,a space to be ,a space to recharge ,a bloody good space ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 6 outta 5 (phenomenal /elite ) PS do yourself a solid and get the estate wine you are welcome

My son chose Hawksmoor as his wedding venue, which was a Wonderland in the lush garden, with the beautiful farmhouse as the perfect backdrop. As all the guests had loved their stay where they were welcomed with open arms, loved their rooms and enjoyed heartfelt service throughout, we decided we had to return before we left the country - a great decision.

From the onset the property manager was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast's were international standard and the hospitality received was world class. Having come with family from overseas we were all blown away with the history and features of the property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at HAWKSMOOR HOUSE. Your manager is truly exceptional & incredibly helpful. Kerry's presence made a significant difference during our stay. Many thanks once again for a wonderful stay at your beautiful Hawksmoor House, we will be back!

We were booked there for one night before our flight back to US. We may have had a different experience if our rooms in the "edge house" had water; we saw them and they looked renovated (but no AC). Since no water to the rooms, we were moved into "Classic Rooms" in the manor and dairy house. No towels so we had to walk through the house at night opening doors and cupboards as no one there to assist; upholstered chairs have ripped arms, no AC, dead flowers in two of our rooms with dirty old water in the vases, and someone's shoes were under the chair in my room. The place is locked up with a gate but they fail to give you the code. Fairly certain my family will add some reviews with pics to document all this. One of my party actually took a taxi to another hotel - we should have followed. Bottom line: avoid.

Unpolite welcome by Manager Brown. During loadshedding we were left with 3 candles! Rechargeable lamps would have done a huge improvement. This was first time during visits to the farmlands where no alternatives were made to overcome the loadshedding. Nice bathrooms and friendly staff.

Wat een gezellige sfeer hangt er in deze accommodatie. Leuke kamers (die allemaal anders zijn) en de ruimtes waar ontbeten en gegeten wordt zijn ruim en sfeervol ingericht. Het ontbijt is heerlijk (en komt uit een fraaie keuken). De honesty bar in de zitkamer is top. De grote tuin is prachtig met bloemen. Spontane bediening en staf.
