Due to a forecast for ice in the area where we live, we cancelled dinner reservations and decided to travel south to Cape May. Found lodging at this quaint and lovely Victorian B&B. Joanne is the innkeeper and owner, along with her husband. The Inn features off street parking (a perk) and a simple but substantial breakfast. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate are available 24/7. We stayed in the Beauclaires Room #4 and it was comfortable. It features a queen bed (we have a king at home) and it worked out just fine for us. The mattress was extremely comfortable. The private bath looked like it had just been redone. Jacuzzi tub/shower combination was great with plenty of hot water. The Beauclaires B&B is approximately 100 yards from the Promenade and a shorter distance to some shops and stores along Beach Ave. This location is also about 2 1/2 blocks to the Washington St Mall area. Joanne puts out wine in the afternoon with an assortment of bagged snacks. Room prices here, as compared to other B&B establishments close to them are much more reasonable. They prefer a two night stay on weekends, but their reservation system may allow for a one night stay like ours. We stayed Saturday night. If you don't have success booking one night on a weekend, I would suggest calling as Joanne seems to be very accommodating. Enjoy
