Great people running the place. Very accommodating and helpful to fishing. Pretty setting and stretch of river. Recommend highly.

We stayed here for a bicycle event in Wimberly. So we didn't eat or shop around this area, but we absolutely loved this hotel. Clean room, comfy beds, and very quiet. The grounds are beautiful with the river behind it. Wendy is super nice and very accommodating for our needs. She showed us the other rooms so we could have an idea of our next event to bring our cycling group. They are so cute! We were pleased with our stay and look forward to booking there again.

Absolutely amazing stay! Everyone was so friendly and the entire property was very well kept! Perfect spot on the river to just relax and have a great time! Will be back here for sure!

The biggest selling point about this property for me was the huge, shaded patio in the back of the hotel that faced the river. It was very peaceful, quiet, and had beautiful scenery. The grounds had nice landscaping and huge shade trees with easy access to the river.
The rooms were clean and decorated with a theme. The rooms were very functional to store several bags of luggage and coolers out of the way, and had a microwave and fridge.

We have stayed here a few times, and it keeps getting better with each stay. The owners are hands on, hard working, and keep adding new amenities and upgrading the landscaping. The lodge is located directly on the Guadalupe River, for easy access to floating the Horseshoe and fishing. Newly added pool, propane griddles, and picnic areas make for an easy day/night of hanging at the lodge. Whitewater amphitheater is a 10 minute walk.
We will definitely be back on our next trip!
