Silver Sand Holiday Village

Our stay at Silversands Holiday Village Goa was a pleasant and convenient experience. The resort boasts a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, especially with the effective air conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Zinnia Fernandes (GM) contributing to a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was satisfactory, offering a decent variety. Overall, Silversands offers good value for its prime location and friendly service, making it a solid choice for a relaxed Goa getaway.

Where do I begin. First impressions when we arrived was reception and bar areas were well kept and clean. Unfortunately that's were the good points end. Arrived here on 14th March 2025. We had booked a superior room on the ground floor due to my mobility. The young *** taking our luggage was just about to go up a huge flight of stairs but hubby said that's no good for me, so off the lad went and came back with another key, however this was room B601. We should of had a garden view but we had a building one instead. There's no locks on doors only padlocks on the outside. You lock the inside with a bolt and that's it even French doors have bolts to lock them up. No bedside lamps so had to get up to switch main light off at night. Mattress was very uncomfortable it looked as if they'd put a king-size mattress on a double bed it was hanging over the other side and no protector on it it wasn't very clean. Bathroom. Omg where do I start. Handle on toilet was thick with grime (I've included pictures after my review) The amount of mould growing in bathroom was disgusting. You had to lift the shower door up to open it to get in shower. No toilet brush either. There were shelves missing out the bathroom so nowhere to put your toiletries only cluttered on the sink. Towels :- well they were disgusting even tho we had fresh ones every day, they were still looking filthy with marks on them. Pool:- where do I start it was filthy I only went in once that was more than enough for me. Area around pool leaves a lot to be desired it's definitely not safe very slippy indeed. There's steps up to.the pool which have been painted and again not safe. There is however a ramp to use but again it's been painted so you can't go up or down it in bare feet. 19 sunloungers for the whole complex no tables and 3 very unusable parasols. We didn't have breakfast but we did go through that way to get to the beach and it was just organised chaos. The only two guys who worked their socks off were Elvis and Tom. Nothing was too much for them always smiling working all the hrs they can. We did speak to the rep and she actually said that the silver sands sunshine around the corner was a better hotel because I thought that was where we were staying. So I certainly would avoid this place like the plague. I know it's India and totally appreciate that however if you book a superior room you should have what you booked. All I can say is room B601 was below sub standard never mind superior, it was nowhere near superior.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel at all, this is India, if you want a luxury hotel then you will have to pay the money. The staff are all lovely and will do anything to make your stay better, yes the rooms are fairly basic but if you want more just ask, the grounds are well kept and everything is clean, what more do you need

On a positive note staff amazing! Nothing too much trouble unfortunately this was the only highlight! First of all arrived in room 101 to a padlock door, on checking room out it needed a total redecorate and a good clean. No mattress proctors. Side light held together with cable ties, 3 clothes hangers, Dark and dingy, headboard manky. The pool was clean however not enough seats for number of guests. Also to get a sun bed was impossible due to guests placing their towels and Sometimes not returning to late in the day! One occasion I walked down to the pool at 0700 and guess what no beds available even though pool wasn’t open until 0800 I did report this to receptionist however just Scruggs his shoulders. Whilst there a breakout of sickness and bad stomach happened this was reported to Tui rep who blamed it on humidity nothing was done to sanitise doors, surfaces etc I did not one cloth does all! Breakfast was good plenty choice also great service from the staff. Bar staff Tom and Elvis lovely people. I would not return.

Just back from a two week stay here . Had a standard room G04 . Room itself wasn’t bad , clean . One plug socket at back of bed was very loose . Air con worked ok but gap between unit and wall you could see daylight through . Bathroom was very basic . No shower curtain or cubicle so bathroom became very wet when showering , so very slippy . No mats . Drain cover in shower area was broken so big hole in it . Probably where frog came from which visited one morning ! Hand Basin cracked . Wardrobe wasn’t full length on hanging area. Room cleaned everyday and clean towels . Staff really good . Good waiters . Breakfast good . This could be a great hotel with a bit of tlc as its location is brilliant. We will stay again but probably upgrade room .

Stayed in premier rooms shower didn't work toilet was disgusting had kettle and mugs all were dusty this hotel has gone down have stayed here a few times never again it was filthy it spoilt our holiday don't bother with this hotel pay more for one
