The Captain Swift Inn

What a beautiful B&B in Camden! Shelly and Jeff are the kindest hosts offering everything we needed for a perfect stay. The room we stayed in, “Mercantile” was so comfortable with its cloud-like king bed, small “kitchen” area with fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and lovely small deck with chairs out back. The breakfasts were divine with SO many choices offered. We look forward to staying at this wonderful, historic inn again next time we’re in Camden!

The Captain Swift Inn is by far the best B&B stay I have ever experienced. The building is historic but in beautiful condition and very clean with modern accommodations and decor. The shower in our room was possibly the cleanest and nicest I've seen in all of my travels. Jeff and Shelly were the warmest of hosts and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. The 3 course breakfast prepared by Shelly was beyond my wildest expectations: I will never forget the homemade granola and the pear fruit course. My wife and I don't often choose B&B's as often the buildings are a little worse for wear and lack modern luxuries but this was not at all the case at the Captain Swift Inn. I very highly recommend this B&B. The location is not right downtown but is still walkable. Parking downtown was not a problem while we were there so it was not a big deal to take the car when needed.

Beautiful room. So clean and bright. We had a great time. Jeff and Shelly make sure your every need is met! Also, Camden is a fun little town with great restaurants and fun shops. I can’t wait to go back!

What a fabulous inn! The owners Shelly and Jeff are very hospitable! The breakfasts were more than plentiful and delicious. Come hungry. Our room, The Mercantile was lovely. Lots of space, nice jacuzzi tub, fireplace and private porch. Great location. Able to walk to the shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

This was such a beautiful, homely Inn. The owners Shelly & Jeff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much. The breakfasts were off the scale in quality, quantity and taste. The entire inn was immaculate and the rooms gorgeous.

We had a wonderful snowy weekend during our stay from February 15-17, 2025. We were basically snowed in on Sunday due to the storm but the location allowed us to snowshoe into town and take in the the beauty of Camden. Upon our return, we spent the rest of the day in the spacious suite (the loft area was such a bonus), reading and playing games in the common areas, and feeling like we were home. The Innkeepers Shelley and Jeff, were more than accommodating with our vegan breakfast request. It was abundant, varied, and delicious! Do yourself a favor and stay at the Captain Swift Inn. You will not be disappointed!
