Estival Centurión Playa

Long drop off as last hotel, warm welcome at reception, room 2072 didn’t disappoint,sunny balcony with sea view. We were Half board ROOMS Air conditioning ✔️ Kettle✔️ Shower with gel & shampoo ✔️ Hairdryer ✔️ Mini fridge✔️ RESTAURANT 7.30-10am Great choice✔️ Evening 7.30-10.30pm Again great choice POOL AREA Loads of sun loungers so really no need to reserve (should be anyway) Lots if shady areas and directly across from beach. Pool very dirty (we didn’t see them cleaning bottom) over the two weeks we’re were there, only took leafs off. Towels available to hire (but didn’t find out ) until or second week in. Lots of loose tiles so be careful. There is a kids club and a toddlers pool but nothing else like a wee park, so not great if over 3 years old. ENTERTAINMENT Some good acts but no atmosphere in this hotel,outside seating area extremely uncomfortable chairs. OUT AND ABOUT out the front turn right 20 min walk to find the nearest bar, Molly Malones. BUS this is the way to see around, across road from hotel €10 gets you 10 trips. Cap Salou was lovely worth a visit Salou very very busy,but lots to see and do. Cambrils is a good 30 min + to walk into too but lots of good restaurants We hired bikes for two days. Hotel have a big lock up just need to ask. We also took jet ski hire for 1hr well worth every penny. NEGATIVES Not many If it’s life you want well it’s definitelya NO. If your not a good walker again definitely NO But as you can see the positive out stand the negative It was too quite for us as we like walk to other bars and if we were B&B you’d struggle close places although at lunch time and an evening say that ,turn right out towards beach and you’ll find an amazing place ONADES Great service and not expensive

Centurion is a great hotel. Fantastic variety of food. Rooms are comfortable with powerful showers. Drinks are great value. All the staff are friendly and real hard workers. Great position on the beach. Entertainment was appropriate for the guests. Tribute acts, violinist, magic show and acrobatic show. You won’t be disappointed!!

Just got back from a fantastic couple of weeks at the estival centurion. This is the second time we have visited the hotel and as long as we can afford it next year we will be back again! Excellent location right on the beach front, great facilities, meticulously clean and a very high standard of varied food in the restaurant. Most importantly though in this hotel is that it's the staff that really make it special. Whether its the accommodating reception staff, the cleaning staff who make it meticulously clean, or of course the fantastic restaurant team who I just cannot praise enough! There is far too many to mention by name but nothing is too much trouble for them and they're always so welcoming. Our 18 month old daughter (Scarlett) is treated like a queen when she visits! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and look forward to returning already!

The staff are a credit to this hotel. The rooms are visited daily. The food is excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is in a great location for the beach and has bus stops for cambrils and Salou and beyond just outside the front. There are good beach bars and restaurants nearby. You can walk to Cambrils in approximately 30 mins. The bar serves very competitive priced drinks and cheaper than surrounding bars in most cases, the beer and the wine were lovely. The downside to this hotel is there are not enough sun beds despite being asked not to reserve beds it was rife. The children running about the restaurant and the pool which was very noisy was off putting that we spent the days on the beach where sun beds were €20 per day. The doors slam shut and some people did not care for others with the noise.

We chose to go here because there was a birthday at the time, we were there knowing that it was school holidays in England and presumably Spain so we had to give and take the fact that Spanish children were totally out of control from morning until late night The hotel is clean and tidy at the front and right on the beach at the back access through a locked gate which was supposed to stop anyone not staying there get into the facilities however they did. We did not eat at the pool area until the last day but found it excellent providing we were in a quiet side place with good service and food produced from from the pool area hut. There was probably enough beds if people had not reserved them at 8:30 in the morning and not used them much during the day so they lay unused. The reception were not interested of course and they were fairly strict on everything else needing a signature or a voucher for everything that you seemed to ask for Room on the third floor was supposed to be a junior suite so it was fairly spacious with a very good large bathroom and a huge bed seemingly a double times 2. Food buffets were good varied and plentiful both for breakfast and for dinner however the dining room was bland featureless reminiscent of a railway station with low ceilings and more noise at busy times than a concord airplane taking off. An outside/inside area was less so but subject to noise from the pool. area The entertainment in the evening was dire except for a couple of nights but it didn't start until 10 o'clock so we were not inclined to overstay but go to bed for the following day. Conveniently placed both for cambrils and Salou with a bus stop outside each way but be aware that the taxis are not as cheap as in some other areas. Nothing much wrong but nothing to attract us back there.

Stayed at the Estival Centurión for 7 days, Good location if you like quiet locations. you can buy a bus travel card for €10 . Bus stops outside the hotel, so my wife and I jumped the bus to cambrills and salou for €8 return.. 6minutes on bus. The variety of Food at this Hotel is very good/ excellent The beach is lovely but gets crowded at certain times. Hotel offers pool towels for €10 deposit each and €1 if you want a clean towels. One restaurant a chemist and 3 shops outside of hotel are cheap enough. Didn’t stop in hotel of a night so I can’t comment on entertainment. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly . We stayed in room 2038 Would stay there again.
