FERGUS Club Europa

We visited August 2024 , family with 4 children grandparent also came . Children ages 7,9,11,15 . There was so much for us all at this hotel . We did upgrade to Magnus and glad we did as we found the other restaurant very busy . Our rooms were immaculate we had pool view . Minibar was re stocked daily with fresh bottles of water and rooms cleaned daily . Pools were clean and water was warm (this was probably due to the 32 degree heat of August). The pool with the slides was great for children and adults and they allowed adults to take children down on laps . There is a kids club we didn’t use it however my boys did use the gaming room for half hour too cool down , they had Xbox ps5 switch in air conditioned room great too cool off . Food was great lots of options different themes snack bar had lots of options pizza pasta burgers chicken nuggets salad self serve drinks . Honestly we all found lots we enjoyed . Ice cream also . Entertained was good although we often went for evening walks down to the town . This is 10mins always strolling . There’s a free bus to the beach and back several times a day. There’s two play parks in the hotel a launderette, honestly there’s everything you could need and more for a fantastic family holiday .

My husband booked this hotel by mistake! I thought we were going somewhere else up until the night before we were leaving! 😂 I read so many of the reviews and was really dreading going! But a holiday is what you make it, and you can sit around moaning about things, or you can get on with it and enjoy your holiday! Yes, some of the things I read about were true.. watered down drinks, long check in times, staff not particularly friendly (but to be fair we heard some people being quite rude, English people, so I'm not surprised they're not keen on us! But on the positive side our kids LOVED the fun magnus pool, cleaners come in everyday to make the beds, the walk to the beach and town really isn't that bad (our 3 year old did it multiple times) and there's a free shuttle bus if you really can't be bothered. The water slides in the other pool were good fun, and the food was edible, not great, but edible. I'm a vegetarian so I had limited options, my husband said the meat was ok. So, all in all we had an amazing holiday. We wouldn't go back, but we like seeing different countries whenever we're lucky enough to get away. A holiday is what you make it 😊

All in all a great hotel which provided excellent accommodation for our Easter break. Everything, from food ,rooms, pool areas to the sunbeds and seating areas was excellent. All facilities in the room worked and were of a good quality. Would not hesitate in returning to this well located and quality hotel.

The hotel it's self was clean the food hygiene was very poor on day 2 of our stay we become really ill with food poisoning apart from 1 member of the family who didn't eat the meat the food was cold in the buffet amd snack bar even when fresh food was brought out it was cold and placed on top of old food that had been sitting. The cups was dirty and just looked like they was swilled and not washed. The pool area wasn't cleaned after the pool had closed and children could still access the pool as wasn't locked. The hotel is on slopes which become very slippy once wet . We had the magnus suit which wasn't anything special apart from room size the restaurant was still bad . The entertainment area foe the hotel was quite small considering the size of the complex. There isn't much around the area unless u get taxis every where. I wouldn't not recommend this hotel for an all inclusive food waiting it's very poor looks nice on the pictures but very poor. The smoking area and only bar open during the day was right by the children's pool.

This is one of the worse hotels I’ve ever stayed in, I only booked it as I wanted to tag along with a friend that was staying here as we also have children it was ideal as it had a children's pool and entertainement, I was shocked to find out it was a 4 star. Not only could I not sleep because of the amount of noise I could hear through the ceiling and walls to the point of hearing people’s conversations, suitcases being wheeled around, the LOUD vibration sound of peoples air-cons, people shutting there balcony doors I even heard someone having s*x the first night I was there absolute sh*t show. The bed was rock hard, my whole body hurt and ached the next day plus and pregnant so it didn’t help. The bath/shower was THILTHY! There was black dirt coming off from the shower guard and the bath itself looked like it hadn’t had a proper clean in months! I had to rinse out the bath before getting in as there was dirt in it and a hair in it along with on my towel, towels were never replaced, a bunch of dirt came out of the sink plug as I turned on the tap as the sink immediately became blocked, and my floor was mopped once and was left soaking wet with NO WARNING! So me or my daughter could have had a serious fall, I had no choice but to dry it with the rug from the bathroom. As for the food, I know hotel food is never great although some people don’t mind it, I found the food here very basic, had no taste. Breakfast was very poor, didn’t even have real bacon, even down to the soft drinks, very cheap and basic, the tea and coffee was awful, I had to use 3 tea bags and it still looked like dish water. I ate out a few times because I was so disappointed, not even my 4 year old liked it.

We stayed for 5 days which was ample. We always found something tasty to eat. The hotel is very busy & the hills in the resort would make it unsuitable for someone with mobility issues & id imagine pushing a pram around wouldn’t be easy either. We found the beds in the room comfortable. We ate out on two evenings which was a welcome change. We had an enjoyable time however we would only return if we got a good offer again. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from going here as we did enjoy ourselves. However do not be expecting a 4star resort where you are attended to. It’s definitely a 3 star & to be honest it reflected what we paid but if we had spent much more during peak season I would have been disappointed.
