A shared kitchen offers a large free breakfast each morning. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. The hostel organizes daily social events for guests Wicked Hostel offers shared dormitory rooms and private rooms that feature towels, linens, and a seating area. Access to a shared bathroom with showers is available. A daily breakfast is provided for guests of the hostel and includes waffles, ice cream, syrup, toast, cereal, porridge, fruit, juice, peanut butter, jam, Nutella, and Vegemite from 8:00am – 10:00am. Guests can enjoy a communal environment with two shared lounges, library, cinema room and games area. Front desk is open 16h per day from 8:00am to 12:00am. Self check-in available for overnight arrivals. Access to computers and business facilities is provided. Stay includes access to free international calling to 120 countries and free laundry service is available dependent on length of stay. Red Mile district is further down 17th Avenue from the property. Calgary city centre and CORE Shopping Centre is only 19 minutes’ walk away.

I mean if you want a cheap night then stay here. I'd say out of all the hostels I stayed in my travels, this is on the lower end in terms of experiences. Staff were friendly although the process is a tad on the strange side for me. Having to wait for the front desk to answer the telecom, come down and unlock the barrier to then check us in was odd. This place is BUSY and noisy at all times of the day and night. Lights are always on outside and doors slamming. The washrooms were barely acceptable for cleanliness. The shower system sort of made sense in terms of curtains and doors but the space used in the men's washroom wasn't ideal. We had a private room and it was comfortable, temperature was comfrotable, bed was nice etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. Kitchen was also fine; we did not cook there at all. Location was OK; closest parking lot was $26.25 for 1 night until 8am the next day on a Friday. When we spent our second night there on a Saturday is was $5.25 for the same timeframe. The area itself was OK. Close enough to walk to where we wanted to visit for the day in downtown Calgary.

I’ve been sleeping in this hostel for just one night in between my arrival in Calgary and departure from Banff National Park. Friendly staff, and good value for money! The location also was good, despite there is not much to visit in Calgary I guess.

L’auberge a déménagé il y a peu de temps donc les photos ne correspondent plus. L’entrée peut faire un peu peur, mais ne pas hésiter à sonner sur le bouton blanc. Accueil sympathique de l’équipe, beaucoup d’activités proposées le soir. Nous étions dans un dortoir de 8 lits, chacun avait une caisse pour mettre ses affaires personnelles mais pas de locker pour les gros sacs à dos. Chaque lit avait 2 prises. Un rideau sur les lits du bas serait appréciable. Une prise USB au lieu de la 2ème prise classique pourrait être utile. Serviette fournie ; sanitaires, dortoir et salle commune propres. Lessive gratuite quand on reste plus de 3 jours. Petit déjeuner gratuit avec pain, beurre, confiture, Nutella, sirop d’érable, yaourts, fruits, plein de jus différents. Cuisine avec 2 plaques et 2 éviers. Une poubelle compost pourrait peut-être être installée dans la cuisine. Bon wifi. Emplacement dans le centre ; Parc de l’île au prince, Chinatown, Calgary Tower et 8e Avenue faisable à pieds.
