The accommodation needs updating and needs TLC until they get round to it. It is very clean, staff are friendly and happy to help. where we had fridge and kettle need to have double plug, they was quick and gave me a extension lead to use both together. it a shame bar inside not opened as we had windy nights and we was sat pool bar with patio heaters on which i didnt do. Lovely that in your accommodation you are told about put your towels down around the pool, that they get removed if not being used so no blocking sunbeds. could do with some paperwork for you to keep on your visit on what time you choice for meals and also what time snacks available on the all inclusive. It a lovely touch that you get a towel for you to use at the pool i not been to hotel that gives you them.. Food is good for a 3star only thing would be a problem in higher season is only 1 toaster in dining room. I full enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again.. YOU ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF XX I know people have put about road outside but the hotel can not be held responsible for this as it down to council..

We visited SMY on the 10th October . Our room 307 was decent with a large private balcony and a side pool view. We mainly sat around the bar daily as it was a chilled good vibe. In fact its the first time I've ever returned home with any money as we didn't feel the need to go out much. The bar staff was really nice, specially Daniel and Niko ( I think that's what his name is)who was always smiling and having a laugh. The entertainment is ok, killer pool, darts and bowls though out the days. The night time entertainment consisted of 2 nights of live singers which were great, kareoke music and film quizzes, bingo and disco type music. The lady Christiano does a wonderful job considering she does it alone, she's a great asset to the hotel, always taking the time to have a chat and remembering names "Debbie sit down " will always stay in mind and have a laugh about. Food is ok, Fridays are best with ribs and prawns. We always found something so we didn't starve.. Snack by the bar was nice, I enjoyed the cheese and ham sarnies which they toast for you. Also hot dogs, burgers, fresh fruit and cakes We've decided to return next year at the same time as we all had such a fantastic holiday and we met some lovely people. There was no sunbed wars and we didnt see any towels being removed, maybe because its low season. Thank you SMY for a wonderful holiday. We'll be back.

Arrived in resort 10 0clock at night , dumped in the town centre, given a piece of paper with a diagram and told to find hotel? Two 70 year olds strange town ,no Spanish asking directions, pulling suitcases. ( good old jet2 ). Arrived eventually at the reception , given a key and went to look for the apartment. One look inside was all it took, disgusting bathroom ,damp up the walls, paint missing, peeling , pitch black ,no outside lighting , rusty old furniture. More like a squat than an apartment. Straight back to the reception to request a change of room within 10 minutes and guess what she had gone home. Went looking for a member of staff , no joy , go to reception at 8 in the morning and they will allocate you another apartment. ( first night living out of a suitcase sleeping in a dump ) Off to reception bright and early and just as awkward as they could be . No we are fully booked come back tomorrow there MIGHT BE an alternative apartment. Just not good enough and guess what no rep for this hotel either. Went back to room and tried to ring Jet 2 customer help line , what a performance that was. Probably some 20 minutes later was put through to a rep in Santorini?? Told him what the issue was , he said he would sort it. ( second night living out of a suitcase in a squat ). Next day passing through the reception area and we spotted a floating rep. Took her to one side , showed her the room , she took photos, was disgusted and said 110% that she would get us moved. ( third night living out of a suitcase in a slum ). Out of the blue got a phone call , "go to reception at 9 in the morning they will allocate you a fresh room" . Duly arrived and was shown an alternative apartment Better than the rubbish we had been in but smaller. Smaller tv, smaller fridge, smaller apartment. No outside light , three days of complaining to get it replaced . We got ripped off , we had paid extra for a larger apartment. This too had filthy rusty furniture, your arms stuck to the arm rests, doors so tight you had to shoulder charge them to open and close them, Cracks in the bath 3 or 4 inches long, you risked cutting your **** cheeks if you sat down. Ants everywhere, we got bitten to death but couldn't decide was bed mites/bugs or the ants. The whole fabric of the hotel is falling apart from broken floor tiles, broken steps, cracks in the walls and crumbling render, just everything needed a coat of paint. We were booked in half board , first evening meal, food was so so, all drinks dispensers on the side, beer, wine water, soft drinks etc etc. We both had a glass of water then a coke each. Glasses 2 and a half inch high, ice cube almost as big as the glass maybe an egg cup measure of coke. Finished our meal and a member of staff approached us demanding just shy of five pounds for the two cokes?? He said half board can only drink water at the evening meal. We said there is not one sign saying that anywhere in the dinner room. He countered my boss says you have

We went early September. We arrived late due to flight delays. When we arrived at 22.00 hrs we booked in and was told where are room was 405 i was looking for are room 10 minutes I could not find it. I ended up going back to reception to ask if she could show us where are room was. She said she can not leave the reception desk and we are to find it. In the end I ask another couple who was staying there and they showed us. When we got to our room we open the door and it smelt musty and old. We open the windows and went out to try get some food when we came back the smell went a little bit but was there are hole holiday. The fan did not work we ask for another one but said they had no spare ones. We was also above the kitchen area so all night we coukd hear the fans and generators going on and of. And the smell to. We went for breakfast and they had no sausages all they had was really tiny hotdog sausages not great the eggs smelt of fish from the same fryer they use to cook everything thing else on. We mentioned it to the staff and said they let the kitchen know. We went for dinner the first night and the options was terrible but ended up having something the food was dry no taste warm so we ended up going out for tea. It was like this every night we ended up going out for dinner every night from from then. So we paid all inclusive but did not take full advantage of it. The staff did not care. The pool area was the only thing good about the place clean plenty of sunbeds cold drinks all day. And also the site was very clean. The entertainment was next to nothing.

I invited on the holiday a person who became drunk and violent. This was unexpected and scary for me as I was also with my 9 year old autistic son. I was hesitant but I asked reception at 4 am to be moved because I could not cope with the situation anymore. My son couldn't be at peace either. The way the security man and the director responded was immediate and efficient. They have dealt with drunk and violent men that abuse the all inclusive and their holiday partners too. I was moved to another room temporarily for the night and then I was back in our room when the other guest was removed from the premises. The staff at the bar were so good to me. I mention here Ivis, her husband Leicer, Mario, Iona and Antonio, as they were so hard working and always kind to us even the bar manager Carlos who was the loveliest person to talk to. I felt supported and not alone for the rest of the week even if I had a heartbreak. I also want to thank Rosa at the restaurant for allowing my autistic son to take food out from the buffet when he didn't want to go in. The chef Juan (Cuban ex professor) was also very kind and friendly, made sure to let me know what was going to be on the menu so I could plan my meals with my son. There was a cleaning lady who went above and beyond, not only cleaning but also supporting me emotionally when she saw me cry after the traumatic experience. Her name is Liliana. I haven't met such an honest and loving woman who made me feel at home even though we were strangers. Everyone was so amazing I left tips for all of them. I highly recommend this resort, location is perfect near everything, and it feels so familiar as everyone is friendly and the resort is quite small so I felt close to everybody. The entertainment was great fun, my favourite was playing water polo with other guests, and Leo the entertainment manager who is Dominican is a whole vibe by himself. I also thought the lifeguard was nice, Ruben, he was very attentive. I am 100% coming back.
