As the title states, this was our third stay at Globales; they say that third time is the charm..... Check-in As easy check-in, we arrived earlier than the check-in time, there is a secure storage for cases and the facilities are available from the outset. Heinke is a fantastic madre de, offering advice and guidance around the hotel services. The Room There are plenty of comments about the room and their locations. Our room was a decent size and relatively well appointed. The bathroom was small with a snug toilet; the kitchen / living room area was a tad dated and tatty in places, but totally serviceable. The fridge was clean. The best thing about the room was the balcony where we enjoyed a late night drink or too. Yes there are steps; you can always ask for a lower tier room upon booking or arrival, the staff do their best to accommodate. The Food The place offers all inclusive food fro breakfast, lunch and evening meal. All inclusive buffets are very much like comedy, in that timing is everything. The breakfast was probably the most consistent, with lunch and evening meal being dominated by fish in various styles. At times there are pizza's and burgers (though no bun?) but they fly of board super quick (not sure why any one pizza need to load up there plate with 6 pieces when there is a queue forming?). The food can be cold, there is a microwave available to blast heat into it. There is a fresh salad bar at lunch and evening meal. Despite the temperature of the food and the uneven predominance of fish (which my wife mostly enjoyed), no -one starved. Additionally there is snack bar serving chips, burgers, hot dogs and other treats, open throughout the day, excluding lunch times. The chips are a firm favourite. The Bar Firstly I want to say how fantastic Ramon and Adrian are behind the bar. They work damn hard and serve drinks in good humour and put up with my dodgy Spanish! Muchas Gracias Amigos! There is a good selection in the all inclusive bundle with additional drinks and bar snacks at a cost. The bar area get sbusy in the evening. For our stay a lot of the entertainment (singers) completed their sets outside which was pretty cool to be honest. The Pool and Amenities The pool is great, with varying depths for every level of swimmer. Water polo and volley ball are popular afternoon activities. There are plenty of sun beds available, though towels are put out on some, though are collected/used in a timely manner. The place is tidy with some lovely fauna. Location Cala Llonga is a great little town with a lovely cove beach and a plethora of shops, restaurants. It is a 5 min walk, downhill into town, the taxi, back to the hotel, which are regular, will be the best 5 euros you'll spend, especially if you re shopping for supplies. Overview I understand the negative aspects of some reviews; a holiday after all is supposed to be an enjoyable time. Globales is 3 star hotel at best and as such, expectations should be
