Self catering, 2 bedroom villa with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Hotel: Lots of space with grassed areas and sunbeds. The main pool is surrounded by gardens and is a good size with a couple of lanes for swimming, there’s an adults only pool and both of these are salt water (or semi salt as it’s not as salty as the sea). There is also a tiny, covered baby pool. We did not venture into the restaurant or use the bar, both of these are SHUT all day/night on a Saturday. The pools remain open so it was lovely and quiet. Villa: Fabulous size! We stayed in a two bedroom villa and there was a double bed in each bedroom (would have been better with two single beds in one bedroom as one of my boys had to sleep downstairs on the sofa rather than share with his brother!). The beds were comfortable and there are blankets if it dropped cold, but a couple of extra pillows would have been nice! We appreciated the two bathrooms, two great showers and two hairdryers. Good sized and well-equipped kitchen, no kettle so we used a pan to boil water for hot drinks. We hired a toaster (20E deposit that you get back). Two balconies and a terrace, though NO furniture on the balconies meant we couldn’t sit out, which was a shame…. There was a 6 person table/chairs on the terrace though and an airer for drying clothes. Wifi in each villa. The hotel reception is open 24hrs and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is situated away from the main resort of Cala d’Or and is a 10/12 minute walk to the Marina, which is beautiful and there are bars and restaurants. Then another 10 minutes to Cala d’Or shops and restaurants and a bit further to Cala Gran beach. Cala Petita beach is closer to the hotel and very picturesque and good for snorkelling. This fantastic hotel is situated on a rocky outcrop that falls into the choppy, deep sea. The rocks are interesting, and you can walk down the steps to look at the sea and take some photos. There is even a ladder to access the deep sea (for strong swimmers and the brave only!). *Though I would NOT recommend this hotel to families with small children who run off / wander off as the rocky outcrop is easily accessible. It only takes 1 minute from the back veranda of the villas or from the pools or play area and you are stood on the rocks looking down to the deep sea. It is not fenced off or gated and could be a hazard to small, unattended, wandering children. I think this is why it was mainly adult couples or families with older children and there were very few small children and NONE were running around and making noise – WHICH WAS PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY! The hotel is so peaceful and quiet which is a fabulous. We stayed at the end of May so the weather was lovely and warm during the day and cooler on an evening so we did not require air conditioning, which is a good job as there wasn’t any! The villa doors are designed so you can open them fully or open them on a slant to only let cool air in and the sea breeze air is lov
